Demonization of Jews/Israelis
Jews/Israelis are evil
Demonization of Jews/Israelis
Since the Palestinian Authority was established it has systematically indoctrinated young and old to hate Israelis and Jews. Using media, education, and cultural structures that it controls, the PA has actively promoted religious hatred, demonization, conspiracy libels, etc. These are packaged to present Israelis and Jews as endangering Palestinians, Arabs, and all humanity. This ongoing campaign has so successfully instilled hatred that fighting, murder and even suicide terror against Israelis and Jews are seen by the majority of Palestinians as justified self-defense and as Allah’s will. The PA presents Jews as possessing inherently evil traits. Jews are said to be treacherous, corrupt, deceitful and unfaithful by nature. These Jewish “attributes” and traditions are presented as the unchangeable nature of Jews. Forgeries and fiction masquerading as history are used to document and support the libel that Judaism is in essence racist and evil. Jews are said to be planning and executing heinous crimes, including burning Palestinians in ovens, murder, using prisoners for Nazi-like experiments, and more. If unchecked, these crimes constitute a mortal danger, not only to all Muslims and Arabs but to all of humanity.

The PA assigns responsibility to the Jews for all the problems in the world: Wars, conflicts and civil wars are all said to be triggered by Jews. Indeed, the oppression suffered by Jews throughout history is presented as the legitimate response of nations seeking revenge for the injury caused them by the Jews living among them. The creation of the State of Israel is said to have been a European plot, in order to be rid of their Jews and save Europe from the evil of Jewish presence in their countries.

The following are examples of Palestinian demonization:

This was said in a statement to Al-Quds in response to American President Donald Trump’s visit to the region…
Regarding the results of the Arab Islamic [American] Summit, Al-Shubaki noted that the Palestinian issue is present in all of the circles, but we want to speak directly about the Israeli terror alongside the talk about ISIS’ terror.”
Fatah Facebook re-posts grotesque cartoon showing Israel’s minister of culture as angel of death

Headline: “Ida’is called for unity and Ribat at the Al-Aqsa Mosque”

“[PA] Minister of Religious Affairs Sheikh Yusuf Ida’is called for unity, tightening the ranks, and permanent Ribat (i.e., religious conflict/war over land claimed to be Islamic) at the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Ibrahimi Mosque (i.e., Cave of the Patriarchs), particularly in light of the fact that the prisoners have been continuing their hunger strike since April 17, 2017.
During the inauguration of the Umm Salamah Mosque in Izbat Al-Jarad, east of the city of Tulkarem, he added that ‘Our people will continue to stand firm and be rooted in its land, and the occupation will not succeed in harming it, no matter how much its evil and tyranny increases.’”
Fatah official repeats libel: Israeli soldiers ordered to “shoot Palestinian children”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, May 18, 2017
Headline: “Martyr Fatima leaves with her dream wrapping her in shrouds”

“Masses of the Ramallah and El-Bireh district yesterday [May 17, 2017] accompanied to burial Martyr (Shahida) Fatima Hjeiji (i.e., terrorist, tried to stab Israeli policemen), who was shot by the occupation and died as a Martyr in Jerusalem…
Fatah Movement Central Committee member [and Fatah Commissioner of Mobilization and Organization in the West Bank] Jamal Muhaisen said that the Martyrs illuminate the path to freedom and independence. He noted that the occupation is targeting children according to a previous decision by extremist Israeli Prime Minister [Benjamin] Netanyahu, who orders the soldiers to shoot Palestinian children.”

Fatima Hjeiji – a 16-year-old Palestinian female terrorist who attempted to stab Israeli policemen at the Damascus Gate of Jerusalem’s Old City on May 7, 2017. In response, the policemen shot and killed her. A note found on her, which included a verse from the Quran, was signed “Martyr.”
Fatah official: “If there was an Arab group consciousness and true nationalism, six million Israelis would be unable to rule 400 million Arabs"
Source: Official PA radio station The Voice of Palestine, May 15, 2017
The Voice of Palestine, the official PA radio station, speech in Ramallah by Fatah Central Committee member and Fatah Commissioner for Arab and China Relations Abbas Zaki for Nakba Day

Fatah Central Committee member and Fatah Commissioner for Arab and China Relations Abbas Zaki: "I have a message for the Arabs: The reason for the Nakba (i.e., “the catastrophe,” Palestinian term for the establishment of the State of Israel) that we went through in 1948 is a report on finding oil in the Arabian Peninsula, and a report of a committee [that decided] on the establishment of the State of Israel, which separates the western part of the Arab world from its east, and it rules over your natural treasures, and prevents you from rebuilding the civilization that the West took from you. Arabs, your treasures are in your enemy's hands. If there was an Arab group consciousness and true nationalism, six million Israelis would be unable to rule 400 million Arabs."

Palestinians commemorate Nakba Day on May 15, the day after the establishment of Israel. On May 15, 1948, combined forces from Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Iraq joined local Arab forces in an attempt to eradicate the newly established State of Israel. The Nakba (Arabic = catastrophe) refers to the establishment of Israel, and the subsequent loss of the war, including the killing and displacement of Arab civilians that occurred during the war.
Abbas appointed dean of schools on PA TV: Israel is a "cancerous tumor", Jews "control the money, the press, the resources"‎
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, May 12, 2017

Imad Hamato, appointed by PA Chairman Abbas as dean of Gaza Al-Azhar schools, host of weekly PA TV program on Islam:
"Israel has worked hard to Judaize the land, [but] it did not stop at that. [Israel] worked to realize ‎something else: the Judaization of culture, [so that] the Arab intellectual embraces the idea of ‎acceptance of Israel as a recognized body and as an entity that has a right to live. Israel, the ‎invading country, the cancerous tumor – which we have already called a cancerous tumor in ‎the past – many intellectuals today talk about coexistence and offering our hands in peace, and ‎‎[say] Israel is part of the region. The noblest Arabs in terms of their Arabness, were those who ‎spoke up and said: ‘Israel does not exist!’ Those who did not say that were ostracized. Now, ‎whoever says that Israel should exist is met with approval... They [the Jews] are usurers. See, ‎the usury money and usurer banks, those who control the money in the world can be counted ‎on one hand - a few individuals - and all of them belong to the Jewish world. They control the ‎media, the money, the press, the resources, the plans.‎"

Fatah Central Committee member: Terrorist prisoners are POWs, Israel commits "racist" actions against Palestinian youth
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, May 2, 2017
Headline: “Ramallah hosted different activities to accompany the 15th day of the prisoners’ [hunger] strike”
“As part of the scheduled weekly program, and in light of the decision of the workers associations and unions to dedicate the May 1 (i.e., International Workers’ Day) events to the prisoners this year, the National Committee of Support for the [Prisoners’ Hunger] Strike called to hold a mass sit-in strike opposite the UN headquarters, in order to convey the voice and message of the prisoners…
Fatah Movement Central Committee member Jamal Muhaisen… said that the sit-in strike opposite the UN headquarters in Ramallah was held in order to demand that the member states of the international body [UN] pressure Israel to implement the third and fourth Geneva Conventions for the Palestinian prisoners as they are prisoners of war, and to condemn the racist Israeli actions against the young Palestinians.”

Red Cross rebuts Palestinian claims that Israel commits “executions” and is an “apartheid state" or that it denies basic human rights – Jacques De Maio, head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) delegation to Israel and the Palestinian Authority, rejected claims that Israel carries out “extrajudicial killings” or is an "apartheid state" in an interview with the Israeli news site Ynet on April 26, 2017. De Maio said: “We came to the unequivocal conclusion that there are no shoot to kill orders of suspects by IDF (i.e., the Israeli army), as some political elements tried to convince us. Rules of engagement have not changed, and became even stricter.” Regarding claims of apartheid, De Maio said: “No, there is no apartheid here, no regime of superiority of race, of denial of basic human rights to a group of people because of their alleged racial inferiority.”
Official PA daily accuses Israel of "reconstructing the Holocaust against the Palestinians"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, May 1, 2017
Headline: “Israel’s future”
Excerpt of an op-ed by Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul, regular columnist of the official PA daily
“While Israel is celebrating 69 years since its establishment on the ruins of the Palestinian people’s Nakba (i.e., “the catastrophe,” the Palestinian term for the establishment of the State of Israel), many questions arise that focus on one central point: What is the future of this state? Will it have a future if its political and military leadership continues [to choose] the option of war, death, and killing peace? For how long can Israel rebel and come out against international law and regional and global peace? And will reconstructing the Holocaust against the Palestinians help Israel survive? ...
Providing the answers remains [the role of] the political, cultural, scientific, military, and economic elite in the State of Israel; perhaps they will reach an informed and correct conclusion that will protect the future of all the peoples of the region and prevent Israel’s suicide.”
PA lies: Ministry of Foreign Affairs claims Israel awarded Elor Azaria "highest decorations"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Apr. 26, 2017
“The [PA] Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the occupation’s announcement on closing the investigation regarding an occupation police officer’s shooting young Hadeel Awwad (14) and her cousin Norhan Awwad (16) on the pretext that they stabbed an elderly person in occupied Jerusalem in October 2015 (a case on claims that Norhan Awwad no longer posed a threat when the officer shot her was closed on April 24, 2017 –Ed.). The officer executed young Hadeel, and he seriously wounded Norhan who was left lying on the ground for many hours without aid being provided to her.
The ministry said in a press release yesterday: ‘The investigation case was closed after what is called the Israeli “Ministry of Justice,” which is led by extremist Minister Ayelet Shaked, reached the conclusion that “the officer’s use of force was justified,” on the pretext that the officer “worried that the young women were wearing explosive belts”’…
The [PA] Ministry of Information said that the acquittal of the girl Awwad’s murderer by the occupation’s police is a public call to terror and encouragement to murder the members of our people in cold blood.
The ministry emphasized in its statement yesterday that the fact that the occupation’s kangaroo courts compete with each other in releasing murderers proves for the thousandth time Israel’s racist discrimination, which ignores the murderers of our children, awards its soldiers who are involved in blood[shed] the highest decorations as in the case of young Abd Al-Fattah Al-Sharif (sic., Israeli soldier Elor Azaria who shot terrorist Al-Sharif was given a prison sentence), and defends the extremists who burned child Abu Khdeir (sic., the murderers were sentenced) and destroyed the Dawabsheh family (sic., suspects are being investigated).”

“[PA] Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah emphasized during the weekly government meeting held in Ramallah under his leadership… that the fact that Israel continues to hold thousands of prisoners, in addition to the racist incitement campaign and the criminal, racist, direct, and explicit calls of the occupation leaders to kill the prisoners (PMW has found no such calls, see below for more details –Ed.) necessitate the urgent intervention of the international community…
He emphasized that we will not forget our prisoners and will not forget our land, and that the time has come to establish their status as prisoners of war in a way that will allow us to work with international institutions in order to enlist more support for their release...”

Fatah condemns as "incitement" Israel's demands to stop paying salaries to terrorists, insists that terrorists are "symbols of our legitimate national struggle"
Source: Ma’an, independent Palestinian news agency, Apr. 25, 2017
Headline: "Fatah condemns the Israeli incitement against the [PA] president and the prisoners"
"The East Gaza branch of the Fatah Movement said that it is monitoring with concern the organized and systematic incitement campaign that the occupation state's government is waging against [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian leadership on everything connected to the payment of the living allowances (mukhassasat) to the victims of the occupation and its actions (the Martyrs, wounded, and prisoners) [parentheses in source].
The movement said that it thinks that the goal of the [incitement] campaign is to disrupt the president's meeting with US President [Donald] Trump, which is expected to take place on May 3 [2017] at the White House,
In a statement published by the branch's Commission of Information, Fatah said: 'While the movement strongly condemns the onslaught of inciting lies against President Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian leadership, it believes that the families of the Palestinian Martyrs, prisoners, and wounded are symbols of our legitimate national struggle and the conscience of the Palestinian people, and that they are victims of the Israeli occupation and its daily actions, which have deviated from all norms and violated all international laws.’
The movement emphasized: 'The Israeli occupation is the symbol and height of terror, and [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu and his racist government are the last ones that can talk about terror, as the acts of his government against the prisoners, children, holy sites, women, and Palestinian land, in addition to the fact that he funds the attacks of the settlers and the occupation soldiers, are the best testimony to the racism and fascism by which this government is characterized.'"

Netanyahu employs "hellish plan" to "blackmail" the world with pictures from the Holocaust in order to justify describing Palestinian "fighter prisoners" as "terrorists"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Apr. 25, 2017
Excerpt of an op-ed by Muwaffaq Matar, regular columnist for the official PA daily
“[Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu is taking advantage of the world’s preoccupation with the war on terror and is attempting to pass his hellish plan to crush the Palestinian cause. This is while in his head is the wicked thought that the world does not distinguish between a terrorist criminal and the last of the freedom fighters, and that the world will submit to his blackmail every time he presents pictures from the Jewish Holocaust and the sword of Antisemitism in order to justify the description of the Palestinian fighter prisoners fighting for freedom as terrorists.”

In a governmental meeting on April 23, 2017, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said: “The Palestinian Authority needs to stop funding the terrorists sitting in prison and stop funding the families of terrorists who were killed while committing their crimes. This is a simple and clear test of the Palestinians’ desire for peace. You cannot be in favor of peace with Israel, and at the same time glorify and fund the murderers of Israelis and the murderers of other innocents.” The statement came after Netanyahu, in an interview with Fox News on April 21, 2017, called on the PA to “stop paying terrorists.”
PA Islamic-Christian Council warns against "Judaization attacks" and "excavation of the tunnels underneath the foundations of the mosque, which places it in danger of collapse"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Apr. 24, 2017
Headline: “The Islamic-Christian Council blesses our people for the Anniversary of the Night Journey”
“The [PA] Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places yesterday [April 23, 2017] blessed the Muslims in general and the Palestinians in particular for the Anniversary of [Muhammad’s] Night Journey. It warned against the danger surrounding Jerusalem in light of the Judaization plans and Judaization attacks being carried out by the occupation authorities and their extremist organizations…
In its statement, the Council warned against the Judaization and destruction that the holy plaza of Jerusalem is undergoing, as the invasions of the Al-Aqsa Mosque for Talmudic (i.e., Jewish) prayer and dances have become daily, in addition to the continued excavation of the tunnels underneath the foundations of the mosque, which places it in danger of collapse.”

The PA and its leaders consider all of the Temple Mount an integral part of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Therefore they view any presence of Jews on the mount as an “invasion.” It should be noted that Jews who visit the Temple Mount only enter some sections of the open areas, and do not enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque or the Dome of the Rock.
Deputy governor of Ramallah: "The occupation is practicing Nazism against our prisoners"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Apr. 20, 2017
Headline: “The Prisoner’s Day events in Beit Rima and Deir Ghassaneh were completed”
“Deputy District Governor of Ramallah and El-Bireh Hamdan Barghouti said: ‘The prisoners have sacrificed years of their lives so that we will live in dignity. The solidarity events must continue in order to support the prisoners, especially in their campaign against the Israeli policy against them, and especially in light of the fact that their demands are legitimate.’
He noted that the Israeli ministers are inciting against the prisoners and demanding to execute them (see note –Ed.), and emphasized that the occupation is practicing Nazism against our prisoners.”

PMW could find no call by any Israeli minister to execute terrorist prisoners. This claim apparently refers to statements by Israeli Minister of Intelligence and Transportation Yisrael Katz on March 6 and 7, 2017, when he said that terrorist Marwan Barghouti, who orchestrated three shooting attacks in which 5 were murdered, should have been sentenced to the death penalty rather than life imprisonment.
PLO official: "The Palestinian people declares its intifada against the worst occupation in modern history"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Apr. 18, 2017
Headline: “Ramallah: Main events of support for the prisoners’ battle”
“Director of [PLO] Commission of Prisoners and Released Prisoners’ Affairs Issa Karake warned the occupation’s [Israeli] Prison Service not to oppress the hunger striking prisoners and treat them violently, and said that all options will be open if something bad happens to one of the prisoners.
He referred to the masses that went out [into the streets] of the homeland and the diaspora, and said: ‘Our people wherever it is declares that the cause of freedom is holy to it and it is thirsty to be liberated of the occupation, and also that the occupation government will not achieve peace, security, and stability as long as it commits terror and organized crime against our people and its prisoners.’
He added: ‘The Palestinian people declares its intifada against the worst occupation in modern history and supports its prisoners who are waging a battle for dignity through [a] hunger [strike] in the most difficult place of confrontation.’ He called on the international community and the UN Security Council to stand by their legal and moral responsibility in light of what is happening to the prisoners in the occupation’s prisons, to provide them with international protection, and to put the Israeli war criminals on trial for their ongoing crimes.”
