Demonization of Jews/Israelis
Jews/Israelis are evil
Demonization of Jews/Israelis
Since the Palestinian Authority was established it has systematically indoctrinated young and old to hate Israelis and Jews. Using media, education, and cultural structures that it controls, the PA has actively promoted religious hatred, demonization, conspiracy libels, etc. These are packaged to present Israelis and Jews as endangering Palestinians, Arabs, and all humanity. This ongoing campaign has so successfully instilled hatred that fighting, murder and even suicide terror against Israelis and Jews are seen by the majority of Palestinians as justified self-defense and as Allah’s will. The PA presents Jews as possessing inherently evil traits. Jews are said to be treacherous, corrupt, deceitful and unfaithful by nature. These Jewish “attributes” and traditions are presented as the unchangeable nature of Jews. Forgeries and fiction masquerading as history are used to document and support the libel that Judaism is in essence racist and evil. Jews are said to be planning and executing heinous crimes, including burning Palestinians in ovens, murder, using prisoners for Nazi-like experiments, and more. If unchecked, these crimes constitute a mortal danger, not only to all Muslims and Arabs but to all of humanity.

The PA assigns responsibility to the Jews for all the problems in the world: Wars, conflicts and civil wars are all said to be triggered by Jews. Indeed, the oppression suffered by Jews throughout history is presented as the legitimate response of nations seeking revenge for the injury caused them by the Jews living among them. The creation of the State of Israel is said to have been a European plot, in order to be rid of their Jews and save Europe from the evil of Jewish presence in their countries.

The following are examples of Palestinian demonization:

With fire in my hands,
and together with you my hand
will strike the snake's head [Israel]."

PLO official visits families of terrorists, claims that Israel deliberately kills young Palestinians
Source: WAFA, official PA news agency, Sept. 4, 2017
Headline: "Karake: Martyr Al-Salehi was abandoned to bleed for more than an hour and a half when he was arrested"
"Director of (PLO) Commission of Prisoners’ Affairs Issa Karake said that Martyr (Shahid) Raed Al-Salehi (21) from Bethlehem, who fell as a Martyr yesterday [Sept. 3, 2017] at the Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, was abandoned to bleed for an hour and a half after he was shot by the occupation soldiers when he was arrested at his home on Aug. 7, 2017. As a result of this, his state of health deteriorated and he lost a lot of blood… [Karake] noted that what happened to Martyr Al-Salehi is a recurring crime that the occupation soldiers perpetrate in order to kill young Palestinians, and not arrest them. He also demanded to open the files of the occupation's crimes and the policy of assassinations and executions against Palestinians…
Karake said these things during a visit to families of prisoners and Martyrs in the Bethlehem district for the blessed Eid Al-Adha (i.e., Muslim “Sacrifice Feast” holiday)."

“[District Governor of Hebron Kamel] Hamid praised the large and exceptional attendance of the residents who filled the plazas of the Ibrahimi Mosque (i.e., Cave of the Patriarchs), even though the occupation delayed the worshippers’ arrival through the checkpoints around it. He also emphasized that this is a purely Islamic mosque, and that all of these racist steps will not succeed in Judaizing the mosque and the old city [of Hebron]… Afterwards, Hamid lay a wreath of flowers on the grave of the Martyrs (Shahids) and read the Al-Fatiha Sura [from the Quran] for their souls at the Al-Sheikh neighborhood of Hebron.”

“Yesterday [Aug. 30, 2017] the Ramallah District scouts held an exceptional scouts procession that passed through the streets of the cities of Ramallah and El-Bireh for Eid Al-Adha (i.e., Muslim “Sacrifice Feast” holiday). The district governor emphasized that... despite the pain, we adhere to the hope that stems from our faith in the justice of our cause, and that the joy will not be complete until similar scouts processions will be held in Jerusalem after it is liberated from the occupation’s filth.
PA daily: Arrest of Palestinian singer for song glorifying terrorist who stabbed 3 Israelis to death is part of Israeli "killing, abuse, settlement, Judaization, and demolitions" against Palestinians
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Aug. 31, 2017
Headline: "The occupation arrested the composer of 'A Song for Kubar'"
"The occupation forces yesterday [Aug. 30, 2017] arrested popular singer Muhammad Al-Barghouti (23) and his colleagues, organ player Naji Ali Al-Rimawi and studio owner Nazzal Al-Barghouti, from the village of Kafr Ein north of Ramallah. This was due to a folk song in which he praised his homeland and its Martyrs (Shahids), wounded, and prisoners. (the song glorified terrorist Omar Al-And, murderer of 3 Israelis -Ed.)
Al-Barghouti's arrest was preceded by 'a huge amount' of incitement and racism by the Israeli leaders, which led in recent months and even before that to the cancellation of freedoms, killing, abuse, settlement, Judaization, and demolitions, in blatant violation of human morals and standards... The occupation state - which has a record packed full of assassinations, especially against politicians, artists, writers, and authors - has already closed Palestinian radio stations and news channels on the pretext of incitement in the past..."

PA PM: The "Israeli occupation" is the reason for the instability in the entire region
Source: Donia Al-Watan (independent Palestinian news agency), Aug. 29, 2017

"Palestinian [PA] Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah said that the Israeli occupation causes instability in the whole region, and noted that an accounting must be demanded of Israel, and that it must not be treated like a country that is above the law. District Governor of Ramallah glorifies terrorist “Martyrs” who are “executed” daily by Israel, lays wreath at monument for Savoy terrorists
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Aug. 25, 2017
“Yesterday [Aug. 24, 2017] activists – led by leaders and senior officials - launched the activities of the National Day for Returning the Palestinian and Arab Martyrs’ (Shahids’) Bodies that will take place next Sunday, Aug. 27 [2017] next to the monument for the Martyrs of the Savoy operation (i.e., terror attack, 11 murdered) in Ramallah.
The activities began with a visit to the monument and the placing of flower bouquets, with the participation of District Governor of Ramallah and El-Bireh Laila Ghannam, PLO Executive Committee member Saleh Rafat, the director of the Jerusalem Center for Legal Aid, and Martyrs’ families…
In her speech during the event, District Governor of Ramallah and El-Bireh [Laila Ghannam] linked the occupation to the continued holding of the bodies. She said: ‘The existence of the Israeli occupation means that there will continue to be more Martyrs whose bodies will be held in the occupation’s cemeteries and [morgue] refrigerators. This matter needs to end through the end of the occupation, which executes our sons and daughters daily and holds their bodies.’ … She continued: ‘It is the right of [the Martyrs’] relatives to identify them and that their sons be returned to them, despite of the fact that it does not matter where they are buried – their souls have ascended to Heaven and have been honored by the Lord of the Universe.’”

A picture included in the article shows a sign on which is written: “The holding of the Martyrs’ bodies is a crime that harms human dignity.”

PLO official protests US and Israeli demand to cease PA salaries to terrorists and their families, the "victims of Israeli terror"
Source: Wattan (independent Palestinian news agency)‎, Aug. 24, 2017
Headline: “Tayseer Khaled: The American activity is a waste of time and its sole purpose is to instill illusions”
“In a post on social media, PLO Executive Committee member and Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine political bureau member Tayseer Khaled described the visit of the American delegation, which has been visiting the region in recent days, as a waste of time, and an attempt to mislead public opinion and instill illusions …
He continued: ‘As usual, the delegation submitted Israel’s conditions for renewing the negotiations, which are the same known arrogant and insolent conditions of [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu and his government's top officials, such as stopping the incitement and payment of the allowances (mukhassasat) of the Palestinian people’s Martyrs (Shahids), wounded, and prisoners - victims of Israeli terror.’”
Fatah spokesman in Jerusalem implies that Israel’s actions are similar to those of ISIS
Source: Ma’an, independent Palestinian news agency, Aug. 22, 2017
“Fatah Movement leader [and Spokesman in Jerusalem] Raafat Alayan emphasized that the battles taking place in the Ain Al-Hilweh refugee camp in Lebanon between ISIS and armed men and the Fatah fighters are no different than the battles that the residents of the holy city [of Jerusalem] are waging against the Israeli occupation forces. He also emphasized that the goal is the same goal, even if the means are different. Alayan noted that what is being carried out in the Ain Al-Hilweh refugee camp by ISIS and armed men is meant to eradicate the Palestinian refugees’ issue, as happened at the Al-Yarmouk [refugee] camp in Syria. Simultaneously, what is being carried out in Jerusalem by the occupation government is meant to eradicate the Palestinian dream of establishing a Palestinian state, and this is a comprehensive plan that is directed against the national basic principles.”

On August 17, 2017, a coalition of the Fatah Movement and other Palestinian armed groups launched a military operation in the Ain Al-Hilweh refugee camp in Lebanon to drive the ISIS affiliated Bilal Al-Arqub terrorist group out of the camp.
Unusual statement by PA Mufti, contrary to usual demonization of Israel and Jews, the Mufti announced Israel had not stolen anything from the Al-Aqsa Mosque
Source: Donia Al-Watan (independent Palestinian news agency), Aug. 20, 2017
Headline: "The [PA] Mufti of Jerusalem: There are no signs of theft of the contents of the Al-Aqsa Mosque"
"[PA] Mufti of Jerusalem and the Palestinian Territories Muhammad Hussein emphasized that a damage assessment committees’ check of the Al-Aqsa Mosque after the attack of the settlers and occupation forces during recent events (i.e., Israeli security measures following a fatal terror attack; see note below) did not find signs of theft or destruction of the mosque's property."

The mention of “recent events” refers to Israeli security measures at the Temple Mount, including metal detectors at the entrances, following an attack there on July 14, 2017, in which 2 Israeli border police officers were murdered by 3 Israeli Arab terrorists. On July 24, 2017, Israel decided to remove the metal detectors and security cameras it had placed at the site. The PA continued to demand that all measures including inspections at the entrances be removed, and Palestinians continued to riot. On July 27, 2017, PA religious leaders declared that all Israeli measures had been removed.
PA Ministry of Information: The 1969 Al-Aqsa Mosque arson proves that the "targeting of the [holy] sites... is a calculated terrorist policy" by successive Israeli governments
Source: WAFA, official PA news agency, Aug. 20, 2017
Headline: “The [PA] Ministry of Information: The Al-Aqsa Mosque arson is [an act of] terror to which no statute of limitations will apply”
“The [PA] Ministry of Information mentioned the 48th anniversary of the arson of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque... The ministry emphasized in a statement today, Sunday [Aug. 20, 2017], that the despicable crime of terrorist Denis Michael (sic., Michael Denis William Rohan, a mentally unstable Christian who set the mosque on fire; see note below) and the claim that he was ‘not sane’prove that the targeting of the sites that are holy to Islam and Christianity is a calculated terrorist policy that has achieved the patronage of the successive occupation governments. The ministry said that the attempt to burn the mosque – the religious and national symbol that constitutes the first direction of prayer [in Islam], the second mosque, and the third [holiest] sanctuary – constitutes limitless terror to which no statute of limitations applies and which is part of the unlimited war against the mosques and churches...
The ministry also again emphasized that the fact that 48 years have passed since the crime of the Al-Aqsa Mosque arson does not exempt Israel from accountability or allow it to transgress international law, to hold the sensibilities of the Muslims in contempt, and to attack freedom of worship.”

PLO official to Russian ambassador: “It is impossible to eliminate terror except by ending the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian and Arab territories”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Aug. 18, 2017
Headline: “Abd Al-Hadi: It is impossible to eliminate terror except by ending the Israeli occupation”
“Head of the PLO Political Department Anwar Abd Al-Hadi met yesterday [Aug. 17, 2017] with Russian Ambassador [to Syria] Alexander Kinshchak at the Russian embassy in Damascus… Abd Al-Hadi emphasized that it is impossible to eliminate terror except by ending the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian and Arab territories and establishing the independent State of Palestine, whose capital is East Jerusalem, on the 1967 borders… The two sides discussed the recent developments regarding the Syrian crisis and emphasized their adherence to Syria’s unity and sovereignty in all of its territories, to not interfering in its affairs, to stopping the funding and arming of the armed [rebel] forces, and to the need to unify the efforts in the struggle against terror and to obligate to a political solution through an internal Syrian dialogue.”
Op-ed in official PA daily praises murderer of 3 Israelis, justifies his attack because Israel "murdered" Palestinains first
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Aug. 17, 2017
Excerpt of an op-ed by Yahya Rabah, regular columnist for the official PA daily

“The first news item that I read yesterday morning (Wednesday) [Aug. 16, 2017] was that the Israeli occupation forces destroyed the home of the family of Omar Al-Abd (i.e., terrorist, murdered 3), who carried out the operation (i.e., terror attack) in the Halamish settlement, which is in (sic., near) the village of Kubar in the Ramallah sub-district. The objective of this operation was 3 settlers, thieves of the Palestinian land, in response to the death of Martyrs (Shahids) at the Al-Aqsa Mosque plazas who were shot by the Israeli occupation soldiers (refers to three terrorists who murdered 2 Israelis on the Temple Mount; see note below –Ed.)...
As for you, youth from Kubar, Omar Al-Abd – your name has been perpetuated in the Palestinian wedding songs, and we will build you and your family a home even if they destroy it a thousand times... We will continue to insist on your innocence, because they are the ones who are constantly inciting to murder… Their crimes of murder are directed towards Palestinians because they are Palestinians, while we hate the occupation because it is an occupation.”

PLO Chief Negotiator implies Israeli occupation root of regional instability and terror
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Aug. 10, 2017
Headline: “Erekat: The international community must strengthen the two-state option”
“PLO Executive Committee Secretary, [Fatah Central Committee member, and PLO Chief Negotiator Saeb Erekat]… emphasized that the key to peace, security, stability, and victory over the terror and extremism in the Middle East region starts with ending the Israeli occupation and establishing the independent State of Palestine whose capital is East Jerusalem in the June 4, 1967 borders.”
PA Government claims Israel rejected 1947 UN partition plan, which was rejected by the Palestinians
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Aug. 9, 2017
Headline: "The [PA] government: The king of Jordan’s visit to Palestine is a message to Tel Aviv"

"During its weekly meeting, which was held yesterday [Aug. 8, 2017] led by [PA] Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah, the [PA] government emphasized the importance of King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of Jordan’s visit and his meeting with [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas two days ago in Ramallah…
The government emphasized that Israel arose on the ruins of the Palestinian people, and from the first day rejected UN Resolution 181 (sic., the UN partition plan of 1947 was accepted by the Jewish Agency and rejected by Arab leaders and governments) and UN Resolution 194, which deals with the refugees’ right of return…
The government expressed its opposition to the fact that the American Senate Committee [on Foreign Relations] approved a bill (i.e., the Taylor Force Act), which determines that the US will stop the annual aid that it transfers to the PA (sic., it will stop aid if the PA continues to pay terrorists and families of deceased terrorists –Ed.). It emphasized that the US understands that the occupation… is fully responsible for the PA’s financial responsibility in relation to the occupation’s actions and their results (i.e., Israel is the reason the PA has to pay salaries to terrorist prisoners and dead terrorists' families -Ed.)."

UN Resolution 194 (Chapter 11, Dec. 11, 1948) states that "the refugees wishing to return to their homes and live at peace with their neighbors should be permitted to do so at the earliest practicable date, and that compensation should be paid for the property of those choosing not to return." Palestinian leaders argue this means that all Arabs who left Israel during the war (hundreds of thousands) and their descendants (a few million) have a "right of return" to Israel. Israel argues tha
PLO official: The Temple Mount and Jerusalem “are purely Palestinian Islamic,” Israeli security measures will lead to violence in the entire region
Source: Al-Quds, Aug. 3, 2017
Headline: “Israel has no right to rule over the inner part of the Al-Aqsa Mosque or to supervise it, and the meeting of the Arab foreign ministers on the mosque has been delayed”
“Head of the PLO Department of Refugee Affairs Zakariya Al-Agha said that Israel has no right to rule over the inner part of the Al-Aqsa Mosque or to supervise it, but rather it is the responsibility of the departments of Islamic endowments of the Jordanian Waqf.
Al-Agha said in a statement to Al-Quds… regarding the tense situation in Jerusalem and at the Al-Aqsa Mosque: ‘The residents of Jerusalem continue to defend it, as the areas of the Noble Sanctuary (i.e., the Temple Mount) and Jerusalem are purely Palestinian Islamic, and the one who supervises them are the members of the Islamic Waqf.’… Al-Agha warned against the danger in Israel’s steps against the Al-Aqsa Mosque, as they constitute an open call for violence and will lead to a deterioration of the situation in the entire region, and that will not stop at the borders of Palestine, as we have already seen what happened in Jordan (see note below –Ed.). The situation is dangerous, and the key to peace, stability, and security in the region lies in Palestine and the resolution of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.”

Fatah official: Israel creates terror, not the Palestinians
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Aug. 1, 2017
“[Fatah] Commissioner of Information, Culture, and Ideology and Fatah Central Committee member Dr. Nasser Al-Qidwa… noted that the occupation government attempted and is still attempting to exploit the hostility to Arabs and Islam in a number of places and to connect them to terror in an attempt to mark the Palestinian struggle and every Palestinian act as terror, in order to mislead world opinion and portray [the situation] as if Israel suffers from the same threat, fights terror, and is a part of the international war against it. He emphasized that Israel only harms the struggle against terror, as it is the one that creates policies that lead to terror, and does not fight it."
Fatah official: “"The enemy of the region, the enemy of the Palestinians, and of the Arab and Islamic nation is Israel”
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, July 23, 2017
Official PA TV program Topic of the Day, on PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas' decision to freeze relations with Israel, hosting Fatah Central Committee member and PLO Central Council member Jamal Muhaisen

Fatah Central Committee member and PLO Central Council member Jamal Muhaisen: "The enemy of the region, the enemy of the Palestinians, and of the Arab and Islamic nation is Israel, and not any state that the US and Israel are trying to start wars [against]. I say to you: Our enemy is not Iran. The enemy of the Arab and Islamic nation is not Iran; the enemy of the Arab nation is Israel… It cannot be that all of the armies that have been prepared [for war] for 50 years at the expense of Arab money and at the expense of the bread of the Arab citizen, and all of the military power of the Arab nation will not be turned against the occupation. If this does not happen, every person of rank [in the Arab armies] will lose his honor."
PLO official attacks UN Sec-Gen for condemning a stabbing attack that killed 3 Israelis as "empathy towards the settlers, and... silence over the Israeli occupation’s crimes"
Source: Amad, independent Palestinian news website, July 22, 2017
Headline: "Tayseer Khaled: What about the occupation's crimes and the nearly daily executions, Mr. Guterres?"
"PLO Executive Committee member and Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) Political Bureau member Tayseer Khaled wondered in a post on social media about the position of UN Secretary-General António Guterres that expresses empathy towards the settlers, and his silence over the Israeli occupation’s crimes and the nearly daily executions that the occupation forces are carrying out against the Palestinian civilians.
This is in light of the fact that UN Secretary-General António Guterres condemned the stabbing operation (i.e., terror attack, 3 murdered) that took place yesterday night, Friday [July 21, 2017], in the settlement of Halamish, west of occupied Ramallah, and led to the deaths of 3 settlers and the wounding of 4 (sic., 1 wounded)."
