PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas’ Advisor on Strategic Affairs Dr. Husam Zomlot: “If you visit the website of the government of Israel, you will clearly see their plan for Jerusalem. This is a legitimization operation that begins with dismantling - dismantling from above [by] landing a blow on the leadership [of the Palestinians in Jerusalem] which they began in the 1980s and 1990s, closing the Orient House (i.e., the PLO headquarters in Jerusalem), and what happened with Martyr (Shahid) Faisal Al-Husseini (i.e., senior Fatah and PLO terror leader in the 1970s). [They also began] dismantling from below, namely [through] unemployment, young men, drugs, etc., and they are doing this morning and night. In other words, the satanic power that is directed against our people in Jerusalem is unprecedented in human history, every morning – millions of dollars, hundreds of millions, are poured in to dismantle and to weaken [it].”
