PLO: Israel killed Arafat
Yasser Abd-Rabbo, Secretary of the PLO Executive Committee:
"The [PLO] Executive Committee believes that such statements [by Kaddumi] dishonor first and foremost our leader, the great Shahid (Martyr) Yasser Arafat, and his death as a Shahid at the hands of the Israeli occupation."
Official statement made after meeting of the PLO Executive Committee, responding to charge by Farouk Kaddumi, Secretary-General of the Fatah Central Committee and Head of the PLO Political Dept. who accused PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas of plotting Arafat's murder together with Israel.
