“Supreme Shari’ah Judge of Palestine, [PA] President [Mahmoud Abbas’] advisor on Religious and Islamic Affairs, [and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Shari'ah Justice] Mahmoud Al-Habbash discussed the recent developments in the Palestinian cause with Director-General of the Council of Islamic Scholars of Indonesia Abdul Rahman Junaidi yesterday [Aug. 16, 2018]. Al-Habbash briefed Al-Junaidi and the council of Muslim scholars on the situation in the holy city [of Jerusalem], in the shadow of the strong Israeli attack against the holy Noble Sanctuary (i.e., the Temple Mount) and the continuation of the daily violations against the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
