DFLP says ban on Palestinian activity in Jerusalem will “constitute the height of the project to Judaize the capital of the State of Palestine… which heralds coming explosions”

"The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) condemned the Israeli trends revealed in statements by ministers of [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu's government, which call to escalate the siege on occupied Jerusalem by a ban on Palestinian activity in the city.

The DFLP said that this dangerous step will constitute the height of the project to Judaize the capital of the State of Palestine… which heralds coming explosions, for which the Israeli occupation is responsible before the international community."

Suggested amendment to penalize PA activity in East Jerusalem - Israel bans by law all PA activity in East Jerusalem, but until now no penalty has been specified regarding such activities. Israeli Minister of Public Security Gilad Erdan is advancing (as of June 2019) an amendment to the law that would impose a prison sentence of up to 3 years on anyone who sponsors, finances, or organizes PA activity in East Jerusalem.
