"Supreme Shari’ah Judge of Palestine [and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Shari'ah Justice] Mahmoud Al-Habbash called on the Muslim scholars and the supreme religious authorities of the Islamic world to act to break the Israeli siege on Jerusalem, whose goal is to isolate it from its Arab and Islamic surroundings. While leading the final meeting of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs conference in Cairo, Al-Habbash said that the flocking of thousands of Muslims and more from all over the world to Jerusalem is an undisputed religious value and a political and moral necessity dictated by the painful reality that the holy city and its residents are experiencing under the occupation's tyranny and its ongoing aggression, which has already crossed all red lines."
