Head of PLO prisoners’ commission: Israel is committing a “medical crime” against prisoners by denying them care

"Director of [PLO] Commission of Prisoners and Released Prisoners' Affairs Qadri Abu Bakr emphasized yesterday, Thursday [Nov. 7, 2019], that the Israeli government is committing a shameful and overt medical crime against the sick prisoners, which is reaching the level of a severe violation of human rights, by not providing them with care and disregarding their health and lives, which leads them to a most severe state [of health] and even to the brink of death. He also emphasized the importance of international intervention, by opening the medical file of the prisoners and forcing Israel to honor their rights according to the international and humanitarian laws."
