PA daily: Israel is “the occupied Palestinian Interior”; PA Mufti: Holy sites are under attack

"The occupation forces arrested seven young people from Jerusalem and the occupied Palestinian Interior (i.e., Palestinian term for Israel) yesterday [Jan. 17, 2020] after they left the Friday prayers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque plazas…

From the pulpit of the Southern Mosque (i.e., the Al-Aqsa Mosque itself), blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque preacher and [PA] Mufti of Jerusalem Sheikh Muhammad Hussein saluted the residents of Jerusalem and Hebron, the Palestinian people carrying out Ribat (i.e., religious conflict over land claimed to be Islamic), and the worshippers who have answered the call of blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Ibrahimi Mosque (i.e., Cave of the Patriarchs) to visit them giventhe strong attack they are being subjected to by the Israeli occupation, and conveyed a message that these blessed mosques belong to them, and no one has a right to desecrate them and plot against them."

Muhammad Hussein also holds the positions of Palestinian Supreme Fatwa Council Chairman and Deputy Secretary-General and acting Secretary-General of the PLO Popular National Conference of Jerusalem.
