Coronavirus can stop economies but not PA hate:

PA continues terror and Martyrdom promotion – through official TV and radio

  • “No force in the world can remove the weapon from my hand”

  • “Palestine is etched on the heart of the fetus, a proud Martyr in his mother’s womb”

  • “We have watered this land with blood for you, my country, Make sounds of joy, O mother of the Martyr”

  • Palestine – “I will redeem you with my children”

While the Corona pandemic is interfering with daily life and challenging economies around the globe, one sphere is unaffected. The Palestinian Authority is not letting the virus obstruct its obsessive promotion of violence and terror to Palestinians. The following are songs broadcast during the crisis that encourage continued terror, promote Martyrdom-death for children, and congratulate mothers on the dying of their sons as “Martyrs.” Several of them are songs that have been exposed in the past by Palestinian Media Watch:

“No force in the world can remove the weapon from my hand”

Song lyrics: From my wounds, my weapon has emerged.
Oh, our revolution, my weapon has emerged.
There is no force in the world that
can remove the weapon from my hand.
My weapon has emerged...
This revolutionary people has sacrificed and offered in order to live in freedom!
My weapon has emerged
.”

PMW originally exposed this song in 2010 when it featured in a dance performance as part of a PLO-sponsored cultural festival. PMW has since documented numerous times that this is a popular song among Palestinians. During the month of Fatah’s Seventh Conference in 2016, Fatah broadcast this violence promoting song at least 72 times on its TV station Awdah. Most recently Fatah played it again at one of the movement’s anniversary rallies this year. The full version of the song includes lyrics encouraging Martyrdom:

“He who offers his blood does not care
if his blood flows upon the ground.
As the weapon of the revolution is in my hand,
so my presence will be forced [upon Israel].”

“Palestine is etched on the heart of the fetus, a proud Martyr in his mother’s womb” - song teaching that Palestinian children are destined to die as Martyrs

“Our Martyrs are convoys and our bones are mountains
They don’t surrender to the lowly
We aren't deterred by imprisonment
Palestine is etched on the heart of the fetus
A proud Martyr in his mother’s womb

And the Arab state will remain ours - Arab, Arab Palestine
We [hold] the rifles to our chests and our eyes are raised to you
Our homes are trenches and our souls are the sacrifice for you
O Jerusalem, you will not remain stolen.”

This song, The First Direction of Prayer by Syrian singer Assala Nasri, was first exposed by PMW in 2018.

Song congratulating mothers on the Martyrdom-death of their sons:

We have watered this land with blood for you, my country
Make sounds of joy, O mother of the Martyr
Congratulations on the Martyrdom-death

Allah, Allah, Allah
We'll be victorious, Allah willing
Palestine is ours and in our blood, and we will not relinquish it,
Palestine, O land of honor...
We have shouted out loudly so the world would hear
We are men who do not fear death

April 4, May 5, July 18 and Aug. 20, 2019; Jan. 7, 29, Feb. 4, 5, 12, and 27, 2020]

PMW originally exposed this song in 2018, read about it in this report on Why Martyrdom-death is “unique in Palestine.”

Palestine – “I will redeem you with my children”

An additional song implied the same ideal: That Palestinian children are cannon fodder and a tool to “redeem Palestine”:

“I love you Palestine from the bottom of my heart,
I love you, my land.
You are in [my] eyes and soul,
And I will redeem you with my children
