Al-Malki: Israel will “destroy Al-Aqsa and build alleged Temple” after annexation

PA Foreign Minister Riyad Al-Malki has twice recently fanned the flames of religious war among Palestinians and the entire Muslim world. The top PA official continues to demonize Israel with the libel that Israel plans “to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque and build the alleged Temple.” Al-Malki made one of his statements in a video conference of Arab officials at the level of foreign ministers regarding Israel's presumed future annexation - i.e., applying Israeli law to the Jordan Valley and the Jewish cities and towns in the West Bank:

PA Minister of Foreign Affairs Riyad Al-Malki: “[Israel's annexation] will place the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque… under full Israeli control, in order to execute their plan to promote their false narrative in order to destroy it and build their alleged Temple. This will turn the conflict from a political conflict into a religious conflict whose end will be bad and bitter, will undermine the stability, and will destroy the security and peace in the region and the world.”

PA Minister of Foreign Affairs Riyad Al-Malki: “This step [Israel's annexation of the Jordan Valley] if it is carried out… will place the Al-Aqsa Mosque – the first direction of prayer, the second mosque [in the world], and the third [most] holy sanctuary – under Israeli control, before it is destroyed and the alleged Temple is built in its place. This step, if it is carried out, will turn this conflict from a political one into an endless religious conflict.”

Al-Malki’s statement and prediction of “religious war” functions as a call to Palestinians to take to violence and terror in the event Israel goes through with the annexation. His statement joins a long line of music videos and fillers broadcast by the PA designed to ignite the Palestinian street, calling to carry out suicide bombings and stabbings and “restore honor,” and fight with “daggers and knives,” and “redeem Jerusalem.”

Palestinian Media Watch has documented this libel for years that Israel is planning and even actively undertaking the destruction of the Al-Aqsa Mosque to build Solomon’s alleged Temple. The PA uses this scare story to motivate Palestinians to use violence and terror to defend Al-Aqsa – and it works. PMW has exposed that many terrorists cited the protection of Al-Aqsa as their motivation for carrying out attacks against Israel.

The following is a longer excerpt of Al-Malki’s recent statement:

Headline: “Al-Malki: The annexation must not be carried out, it must be prevented and nipped in the bud”
“PA Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Riyad Al-Malki said that the Israeli annexation of the State of Palestine’s territories must not be carried out, and that it must be prevented and nipped in the bud.
He said this during his speech before a special open meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Executive Committee at the level of foreign ministers of the organization’s member states…
He added: ‘We as the OIC have the ability, connections, and means to prevent this step, which if it is executed… will be tantamount to an official Israeli declaration of the annulment of all the conventions that it has signed, and it will put an end to the possibility of reaching an agreement through negotiations. This step will contribute to the dissipation of the two-state solution, regarding which there is international agreement, and it will place the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque… under full Israeli control, in order to execute their plan to promote their false narrative in order to destroy it and build their alleged Temple. This will turn the conflict from a political conflict into a religious conflict whose end will be bad and bitter, will undermine the stability, and will destroy the security and peace in the region and the world.’”
