PA: All 700,000 Jews living in Jerusalem are “settlers”

Official PA TV program Good Morning Jerusalem:

Secretary-General of the PLO Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Sites Hanna Issa:

“[Jerusalem’s] total territory is currently 125.156 square kilometers. The current number of its residents is more than 1 million, of whom 343,000 are [Arab] residents of Jerusalem and the rest are Jewish settlers…

Now they [Israelis] have excavations underneath the Al-Aqsa Mosque that reach 20 meters (sic., Israel does not excavate under the Temple Mount; see note below), and aside from that there is a hall there that holds up to 5,000 people, and there is a city underneath the Al-Aqsa Mosque  that is ready for opening at any moment. And 6 million tourists will visit it in the year of its opening, according to their claim. (sic., all false) Israel is changing [Jerusalem’s] landmarks.”

Hanna Issa also serves as Fatah Revolutionary Council member.

Excavations under the Temple Mount - The Israeli daily Haaretz has stated that the excavations do not reach beneath the mosque: "Despite complaints from the Islamic Movement and Palestinian groups, not a single dig penetrates beneath the [Temple] Mount." [Haaretz, May 24, 2016]
