Arab League official denies history: “Nothing hints” that Jerusalem “ever belonged to the Zionists or the Jews”

Director of the Arab League’s Department of Youth and Sport Abd Elmonem Elshaary: “Everything that speaks in Jerusalem says: “I am Arab.” The structures, the mosques, all the markets, they all call out and say: “I am Arab, I am Arab.” There is nothing that hints that this place ever belonged to the Zionists or the Jews. It belongs to the Arabs! It belongs to the Arabs! It belongs to the Arabs!”
