Fatah cartoon misrepresents Israeli soldiers as sniping Palestinian mothers

The cartoon shows a mother feeding a baby with a bottle. The mother is seen through rifle sights after having been shot, with a bullet hole through the bottle, a splash of blood behind it, and a tear rolling down her face. The cartoon refers to an incident in Jenin on Aug. 7, 2020, in which a Palestinian woman was killed by accidental stray gunfire. The woman was standing at her window as a gun battle took place outside, after Israeli soldiers came under attack by Palestinians who shot at them and threw explosives and rocks at them.

In the bottom right of the cartoon is the PA map of “Palestine” that presents all of Israel as “Palestine” together with the PA areas; the map is drawn in the shape of a Palestinian flag on a pole, with the stripes of the flag on the map.
