PA TV host mistranslates and distorts Israeli report, claims Russian Jews are not Jews

Official PA TV host Nasser Al-Lahham: “How was all of humanity deceived? How did the Zionist movement dare to plant this delusion among millions of Russians, to convince them that they are Jews and that their origin is Palestine, and to make them immigrate here?” …

Official PA TV narrator: “After 30 years, [Soviet Union leader] Gorbachev allowed millions of Russians to immigrate to Palestine as Jews, and this flooded Palestine with colonialists.” …

Aryeh Eliav, in Hebrew: “Some [in Israel] thought Stalin was the sun of the peoples and that [Russia] was Paradise and [a place of] equality.”

PA TV “translation”: How did they convince us to come to Paradise, to Palestine, to leave Moscow, to leave the Stalinist regime? Who dares to say something like this?”

Aryeh "Lova" Eliav, in Hebrew: “Some [in Israel] thought Stalin was the sun of the peoples and that [Russia] was Paradise and [a place of] equality.”

PA TV’s mistranslation, in Arabic: “How did they convince us to come to Paradise, to Palestine, to leave Moscow, to leave the Stalinist regime?”

Aryeh Eliav was Secretary of the Israeli Embassy in Moscow from 1958-1960.

The official PA TV program From the Israeli Archive is hosted by Nasser Al-Lahham, who is also the Editor in Chief of the independent Palestinian news agency Ma’an.
