Fatah lies, saying former Israeli PM Ariel Sharon "let Israeli settlers attack Palestinian villages" as part of an Israeli terror plan

Official PA TV program Topic of the Day

Official Fatah Spokesman Hussein Hamayel: “At the beginning of the Palestinian revolution, or even at the end of the 1990s and after the Al-Aqsa Intifada (i.e., PA terror campaign 2000-2005, more than 1,100 Israelis murdered), there was a plan by [former Israeli Prime Minister] Ariel Sharon, who said: ‘The last thing we will use against the Palestinians is that we will let the settlers attack the Palestinian villages’ (sic., PMW found no evidence of Sharon making such a statement).

From their perspective, this is the last kind of terror that the occupation state will use against the Palestinian people. What remains after they opened fire, attacked with jets, destroyed the land with bulldozers, broke in, killed, arrested, killed children, and attacked schools? All that is left for them is to loosen the reins of the crime gangs as happened in the days of the Haganah (i.e., Jewish defense forces in the pre-state period) and the like…

The settlers have advanced and modern weapons that the settlers use in attacking the villages and the Palestinian residents. Many of the homes that were burned were set on fire with modern and advanced kinds of incendiary bombs (sic., PMW was found no evidence of such cases).”
