PLO hypocritically accuses Israel of “the most dangerous forms of state terror” in UN regional parliamentary meeting

Headline: “The [Palestinian] National Council participates in a parliamentary meeting of the Mediterranean region on the war on terror”

The Palestinian National Council (i.e., the legislative body of the PLO) participated in a video conference meeting yesterday evening [Feb. 15, 2021], which was held by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean at the UN offices on the topic of the war on terror. The council called to establish a committee for cooperation between the assembly and the UN to implement the UN decisions on the topic of Palestine, to end the occupation, and to put an end to its terror against our people and its land.

The council’s delegation emphasized… that there is no possibility for coexistence with the Israeli occupation in Palestine, and that it is impossible to establish peace and stability in the region without putting an end to this occupation, which is considered the most dangerous form of terror that must be fundamentally uprooted. It added: ‘No peace agreements with the occupation can bring peace to the region, as long as this occupation is not removed from Palestine and the rest of the occupied Arab lands in Syria and Lebanon.’

The delegation emphasized that the Palestinian people rejects all forms of terror, because it knows its results well since it has been suffering for dozens of years from the state terror that is represented by Israel, the occupying power, and the settler terror branches that are subordinate to it.”
