Head of the Palestinian National Council: “Israel has killed, and still kills, anyone who believes in peace”
Head of the Palestinian National Council, Salim Al-Za'anoun, on President Abbas' speech at the UN. He first stated that the speech brought the Palestinian cause into the heart of every free person, then began to demonize Israel:
"Israel has killed, and still kills, anyone who believes in peace. It killed Rabin, afterwards it killed the Shahid (Martyr) Yasser Arafat, following a siege that went on for years. We say to the President: We are all potential Shahids, and we shall continue on the path that you signaled in your speech."
