Fatah honours terrorist prisoner "leader" who was involved in the murder of 6 people

Hebron – Prisoner Taleb Ali Taleb Amr, who has been imprisoned in the occupation’s prisons since June 25, 2002, and is serving 7 life sentences and another 30 years, began his 20th year in the occupation’s prisons.

Prisoner Taleb Ali Taleb Amr is one of the leaders of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades (i.e., Fatah’s military wing) in the Hebron district, and one of the leaders of the prisoners’ movement. He was arrested due to his participation in a number of shooting operations against the Israeli occupation forces during their invasion of Hebron, and in the operation of Andalib Takatka(i.e., suicide bomber, murdered 6 people), together with Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades Commander Martyr Marwan Zalum (i.e., terrorist, involved in the murder of at least 9 people), in April 2002, in response to Operation Defensive Shield (i.e., Israeli counter-terror operation; see note below) in which war criminal [then Israeli Prime Minister Ariel] Sharon carried out the most extensive operation against the Palestinian people.

In [Takatka’s] operation 6 Israelis were killed and 39 (sic., over 80) were moderately to seriously wounded.”

Taleb Ali Taleb Amr – Palestinian terrorist and member of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades (Fatah’s military wing) who provided the explosives to suicide bomber Andalib Takatka for her attack, in which she murdered 6 and wounded more than 80 at Jerusalem's Mahane Yehuda outdoor market on April 12, 2002. Amr is serving 7 life sentences and an additional 30 years.

Andalib Khalil Muhammad Suleiman or Andalib Takatka – Female suicide bomber from Fatah who carried out a suicide bombing attack on Jaffa Road in Jerusalem near the Mahane Yehuda outdoor market on April 12, 2002, murdering 6 and wounding more than 80.

Marwan Zalum - Palestinian terrorist and commander of the Hebron branch of the Tanzim (Fatah terror faction). He was responsible for a number of terror attacks in the Hebron region, including sending the terrorist who in a shooting attack murdered the infant Shalhevet Pass in her stroller on March 26, 2001. Zalum also provided the explosive device used in a suicide attack at the entrance to Jerusalem's Mahane Yehuda open market on April 12, 2002, in which 6 Israelis were murdered and 80 wounded. He organized the planting of a bomb in southern Hebron, which murdered Israeli soldier Shai Cohen on July 9, 2001, and initiated a shooting attack at the entrance to Kiryat Arba on July 12, 2001, in which 1 person was murdered. Zalum was killed by the Israeli army on April 22, 2002.

Operation Defensive Shield – a large Israeli military operation in April 2002 in response to the many suicide bombings during the PA terror campaign (the second Intifada, 2000-2005). Israel put Arafat under siege and invaded six of the largest West Bank cities in an attempt to destroy the terror infrastructure.
