PA Daily claims that "Jewish Zionists have no connection to the Palestinian land"

Column by Adel Abd Al-Rahman, regular columnist for official PA daily

“For the past year, Netanyahu’s government has been working with Israel’s supporters in the [US] Congress and in the Zionist AIPAC to bypass the right of return of the Palestinian refugees…

Is it possible – according to the laws of all nations of the world and international law – to separate children and grandchildren from [their] fathers and grandfathers? How? Based on what? Where is the moral and legal responsibility of such logic?

Who has more of a right to return to the Palestinian land – the land’s original owners – that is, the Palestinians and Arabs – or the Jewish Zionists and those who follow their lead, who have no connection to Palestine?

How do Israel’s ambassador [to the UN] Ron Prosor, its Zionist leaders throughout the generations, from the beginning of the twentieth century until today, and the American Daniel Pipes, who has conspired with the logic of the Israeli ethnic cleansing state, permit themselves to protect the right of Jews to return to the land of Palestine and oppose it when it comes to Palestinians?

Who has more of a right to return – the Palestinian expelled by the ethnic cleansing of the Zionist movement in the 1940s – that is, 65 years ago – or the Zionist Jew who has no connection to Palestine?...

The attempts made by Pipes, whom Israel claims is an ‘expert’ on the Middle East, the other Members of Congress, Israeli Ambassador [to the UN] Ron Prosor, [Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs Avigdor] Liberman, [Israeli politician and former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs] Danny Ayalon and all who follow them… are doomed to fail, because the Palestinian people, when armed with the law, legal treaties – specifically, the four Geneva Conventions and International (i.e., UN) Resolution 194 – will not abandon its right of return to its lands from which it was expelled…

The world, the US, the EU, Russia and the UN must act to prevent the arrival of any more settlers to Palestinian land, and to impose sanctions on the Israeli apartheid state, in order to protect the peace process from systematic destruction by the present and future Netanyahu governments. They must act to immediately end the Israeli occupation, without preconditions, in order to protect the two-state solution within the 1967 borders.”
