Headline: “The [PLO] Commission of Prisoners’ [Affairs] and the Jerusalem District honored released prisoner Salah Hussein”

“Jerusalem District Deputy Governor Abdallah Siyam emphasized the need to unite around the cause of the prisoners and their families because their cause is a cause of all the Palestinians, and he noted that they are a symbol of our legal struggle against the occupation.

Siyam said this yesterday, Thursday [June 18, 2020], during a ceremony honoring released prisoner Salah Hussein (PMW was unable to determine the nature of his crimes –Ed.) from the village of Beit Duqqu northwest of Jerusalem, in the presence of Director of [PLO] Commission of Prisoners and Released Prisoners’ Affairs Qadri Abu Bakr, and this was following [Hussein’s] release from the occupation’s prisons.”

The article includes an image showing Director of PLO Commission of Prisoners’ Affairs Qadri Abu Bakr presenting an honorary plaque featuring the PA map of “Palestine” that presents all of Israel as “Palestine” together with the PA areas to released prisoner Salah Hussein during a visit to Hussein’s house. Hussein served a 15 year sentence during which he had a child from sperm he smuggled out of prison.
