PA daily columnist congratulates Hamas and calls prisoners released in Shalit deal “role models”

In October 2011, the Israeli government agreed to release 1,027 Palestinian prisoners from Israeli prison in exchange for Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit, who had been held hostage by Hamas for more than 5 years.
Open letter by columnist Sabri Saidam to Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal regarding the deal:
"Congratulations to everyone, and to our heroic people, on the occasion of the release of our courageous prisoners. We pray that Allah will untie the chains of the rest of our brothers. The bars hid their bodies, but they did not hide their common state nor their firm stance, for they were and still are a positive role model."

Note: Hundreds of the released prisoners were convicted on charges of murder and terror offenses.
