“undermining the social fabric in Jerusalem is part of the Israeli government’s wild Judaization plan” Jerusalem District Governor falsely claims

Headline: “Jerusalem district governor: The attack on the Gethsemane Church is a result of  incitement by the extremist right-wing [Israeli] government”

“Jerusalem District Governor Adnan Ghaith said that the crime in which an Israeli settler attempted to set the Gethsemane Church in occupied Jerusalem on fire (refers to an arson attempt at the Church of All Nations near the Garden of Gethsemane on Dec. 4, 2020, which police report was criminal in nature, not nationalistic –Ed.) is a result of incitement by the Israeli extremist right-wing government, and of the fact that the settlers are evading punishment and accountability.

Speaking to [the official PA news agency] WAFA, Ghaith added that the systematic attack that the Israeli establishment, with all its branches, is leading, and the use of the most extremist [Israeli] settlers in order to commit its crimes, are something both new and old that targets the Palestinians in Jerusalem, their eternal capital – Christians and Muslims alike – and this is [carried out] in a desperate attempt to cause them to emigrate…

District Governor Ghaith… explained that undermining the social fabric in Jerusalem is part of the wild Judaization plan, which the Israeli establishment is carrying out in order to blur the religious and historical characteristics of the city, especially in light of the fact that the excavations that have been continued since the occupation in 1967 have suffered complete failure in finding or proving any Jewish presence in this holy city (sic., an abundance of archaeological finds have unequivocally proven the ancient Jewish connection to Jerusalem)…

He noted that many Christians have emigrated from Palestine due to the arbitrary Israeli steps against them.”
