“In the name of Merciful Allah

Martyr (Shahid) Qutaiba Ziyad Zahran’s (i.e., terrorist, wounded 1) will to his family

‘Indeed, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties [in exchange] for that they will have Paradise. They fight in the cause of Allah, so they kill and are killed. [It is] a true promise [binding] upon Him.’ [Quran, Sura 9:111, Sahih International translation]

Praise Allah, Lord of the Universe, who supports the people of Jihad and humiliates the cursed Jews, and will bring peace to the master of the God-fearing and leader of the people of Jihad [Islamic Prophet Muhammad], and to his family and friends and those who follow his path and do Jihad like him until Judgment Day.

My beloved family, I give you good tidings.

My dear father, forgive me.

Behold, I have fulfilled my request and been granted Martyrdom-death (Shahada) for Allah according to the determination of the people of Jihad, and I have left this world and am quickly marching towards the eternal world in Paradise, in order to meet the messenger of Allah with the prophets, the righteous, the Martyrs, and the just. You must know, my family, that I did not leave you because I was tired of you or felt isolated in your midst, but rather Martyrdom-death called me because I have longed for it for a long time.

My dear mother: forgive me.

The Lord of the Universe will willingly accept my acts only if you will be pleased with them, and my request will only be fulfilled if this condition is met. My request will only be fulfilled if you will bear the suffering and consider me a Martyr who is with Allah, and as a person of Jihad who acts first of all for Allah and so that his religion will reign supreme, and second as revenge for the blood of the Martyrs of Palestine. Do not cry over me, but rather call out cries of joy, because this is the wedding of your Martyr son.

My beloved brothers: forgive me.

Help your father and mother and be tolerant and do good, and stand together, each strengthening the other, and forgive me if I hurt one of you, and adhere to Allah’s religion

My dear sisters: forgive me

Do not forget what I asked of you a few days before I left for Allah, and stand at my mother’s side, and be of the sisters of Aisha (i.e., wife of Islam’s Prophet Muhammad) and Al-Khansa (honored in Islamic tradition for sending her four sons to battle and rejoicing when they all died as Martyrs –Ed.)

Dear members of my family

Forgive me, all of you. If I did not fulfill my obligations to you in this world, I will fulfill my obligations to you at the time of the resurrection, Allah willing. Be happy at the good tidings that the Prophet gave you, according to which the Martyr will be the advocate for 70 of his family members, I ask Allah to guide you on the straight path

My will

My will to you is that nobody will cry during the celebratory procession accompanying me to Paradise, but rather will give out dates and make cries of joy at the Martyrdom-death wedding. In conclusion I will say that we will meet soon, Allah willing, in the Paradise prepared for the God-fearing, which is as broad as the heavens and the earth

And we will conclude with Praise to the Lord of the Universe

Your son and brother”
