DFLP rejects political resolution, calls for “comprehensive confrontation”

Headline: “The Democratic Front [for the Liberation of Palestine]: Relying on internationalization [of the Palestinian cause] without comprehensive resistance on the ground constitutes political helplessness and a strategic failure”

“In a statement today [Dec. 1, 2022,] the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) said: …‘The experience of the peoples and liberation movements confirms that unceasing brave resistance in all its forms (i.e., term used by Palestinians, which also refers to the use of violence and terror) has succeeded in pushing the international community to intervene for the interests of their just causes. Our national cause constitutes the latest unquestionable example, as through the first Intifada (i.e., Palestinian wave of violence and terror against Israel, approximately 200 Israelis murdered, 1987-1993) and second Intifada (i.e., PA terror campaign 2000-2005, more than 1,100 Israelis murdered) we forced the international community, and foremost among it the US, to intervene, and it would have been possible to take advantage of this international intervention if the responsible leadership had armed itself with a strategy that would ensure not relinquishing the achievements on the ground that our people made in the two intifadas.’ …

The DFLP also called to put an absolute end to relying on the so-called ‘prospect of political resolution’… and to move from the policy of helplessness and hollow statements to a policy of action on the ground, in other words, a policy of comprehensive confrontation on the ground in the international circles.
