Official PA Daily publishes antisemitic cartoon

Cartoon published in the official PA daily

The cartoon shows Israeli Minister of Finance Bezalel Smotrich depicted with a grotesquely large nose standing at a podium, with two exclamation marks above his head indicating surprise. On the front of the podium is a map including the PA map of “Palestine” that presents all of Israel together with the PA areas as “Palestine” on the left, and a map of Jordan on the right. The two maps are depicted with hands; the PA map of “Palestine” is holding the Jordanian flag while the map of Jordan is holding the Palestinian flag, indicating unity between the two.

The cartoon refers to Smotrich speaking at an event in Paris on March 19, 2023, whose podium featured a map of Greater Israel including Jordan.
