  • 63-65% of the dead terrorist “Martyrs” are from Fatah, “most are [PA] Security Forces officers” - Director of Palestinian Center for Strategic Studies

  • Fatah: “More than 355 of our prisoners are from the Palestinian [PA] Security Forces – in other words, the PA’s soldiers”

  • Fatah repeats statistics about dead terrorist “Martyrs”: “Two thirds belong to the Fatah Movement and the PA”

  • Fatah is directing the terror: “The armed resistance in the West Bank, the Fatah Movement is the one that is leading it

Director of Palestinian Center for Strategic Studies Muhammad Al-Masri has publicized statistics showing that Fatah and the PA Security Forces are leading the recent terror wave against Israelis. He stated that “63-65%” of the “Martyrs” in “the daily confrontations” are from Abbas’ Fatah – meaning about two thirds of the dead terrorists in the West Bank are from Fatah. Al-Masri added that most of those 63-65% are officers in the PA Security Forces:

Director of Palestinian Center for Strategic Studies Muhammad Al-Masri: More than roughly 63-65% of the number of Martyrs in the West Bank, in the daily confrontations, are members of the Fatah Movement. And most of them are members of the [PA] Security Forces or their sons…The ones who are being pursued in the streets, arrested, and imprisoned are the Palestinian Security Forces officers. If we count the number of prisoners, we will find that Fatah is equal to all the factions, the independent and non-independent ones.”

The same statistics was broadcast by Fatah on its own TV channel:

Fatah-run Awdah TV host: “More than two thirds of the Martyrs in the West Bank over [the last] year and a half belong to the Fatah Movement and the PA… More than 355 of our Palestinian people’s prisoners inside the prisons are from the Palestinian [PA] Security Forces – in other words, the PA’s soldiers.”

Palestinian Media Watch has long ago exposed that PA Chairman Abbas himself sees terrorists as “soldiers” sent by the PA. PMW has also documented that the PA views all terrorists in prison as “someone who acts on our behalf and receives orders from us."

Responding to Hamas official Saleh Al-Arouri, who implied that Fatah is not carrying out enough terror attacks, Fatah bragged that Fatah is “leading” the terror in the West Bank – “the armed resistance” in PA/Fatah terminology. Mentioning several terrorists by name, a host on Fatah’s TV station boasted that “dozens” of the dead terrorists belonged to Fatah and the PA Security Forces:

Fatah-run Awdah TV host: If we ask about the armed resistance in the West Bank, the Fatah Movement is the one that is leading it. The Fatah members have more than two thirds of the percentage of Martyrs, in the shadow of Hamas’ absence. Martyr Abdallah Abu Al-Tin, [Wadi’] Al-Houh, and [Ibrahim] Al-Nabulsi (i.e., all terrorists) are Fatah members. Martyrs Ziyad Al-Zar’ini, Daoud Zubeidi (i.e., terrorists)… and dozens of others are the Martyrs of Fatah and the Palestinian [PA] Security Forces... Last night our Security Forces and our victorious Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades (i.e., Fatah’s military wing), fought the occupation in Nablus… and where was Hamas?”

One dead terrorist “Martyr” and “senior officer in the Palestinian general intelligence forces” was among the terrorists attacking Israeli forces in Jenin last month, when the forces entered to arrest two wanted terrorists. Fatah praised and eulogized him with this poster:

The image shows terrorist Ashraf Ibrahim. On the right are two masked terrorists holding assault rifles and wearing yellow Fatah headbands. In the upper left is the logo of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades. Under it is the logo of the PA intelligence forces.

On the same day, Fatah posted a photo of a dead man, apparently terrorist Ibrahim. The body is covered by a piece of fabric with the symbol of the PA military intelligence forces on it, including the text “The Palestinian Authority – General Intelligence.” A folded military uniform and an M-16 assault rifle are on top of the body, apparently belonging to Ibrahim:

Abbas’ Fatah Movement is in a continuous battle with the Hamas terror organization over who’s most involved in terror against Israel. Palestinian Media Watch has previously exposed statements by Fatah officials bragging that Fatah “has led 1,500” terror attacks while Hamas has led none, and that members of the PA Security Forces are “cops by day” and terrorists “by night,” playing a double role.

The following is more information on the terrorists and others mentioned above:

Muhammad Al-Masri is also a former head of PA intelligence in the Gaza Strip and former deputy head of PA general intelligence.

Ashraf Muhammad Amin Ibrahim – 38-year-old Palestinian terrorist, PA military intelligence officer, and member of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades (Fatah’s military wing) who shot at Israeli soldiers while they were arresting two wanted terrorists in Jenin on May 29, 2023. The soldiers returned fire in self-defense, killing Ibrahim.

Dr. Abdallah Al-Ahmed Abu Al-Tin and Matin Dabaya – Palestinian terrorists and Fatah members who were killed during a gun battle with Israeli forces in Jenin on Oct. 14, 2022. Dabaya shot at the Israeli soldiers who shot and killed him in self-defense. Despite PA claims that he was shot while treating the wounded, Al-Tin also apparently shot at the soldiers before being killed in self-defense, given that he was found masked and holding a weapon. Al-Tin also had a documented past of involvement in terror, and Fatah Jenin Secretary Ata Abu Rmeileh stated that he died while “fighting shoulder to shoulder with the resistance members.” The Israeli soldiers were in Jenin to arrest 24-year-old Hamas terrorist Diya Salameh, who was involved in recent shooting attacks.

Wadi’ Al-Houh, Ali Antar, Hamdi Qayyim, Mash’al Baghdadi, Hamdi Sharaf – The “confrontation” refers to Palestinian terrorists and members of the independent terror cell “the Lion’s Den” who shot at Israeli soldiers when they raided and destroyed a headquarters and weapons and explosives laboratory of the cell in Nablus on Oct. 25, 2022. During the raid, PA Security Forces shot at the Israeli soldiers, who returned fire in self-defense wounding several members of the PA Security Forces. The soldiers also came under fire from members of the terror cell and returned fire, killing 5 terrorists: Wadi’ Al-Houh, Ali Antar, Hamdi Qayyim, Mash’al Baghdadi, Hamdi Sharaf. Al-Houh was a senior member of “the Lion’s Den.”

Ibrahim Al-Nabulsi – Palestinian terrorist and member of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades (Fatah’s military wing) who was responsible for a series of shooting attacks targeting Israeli soldiers. Al-Nabulsi resisted arrest and shot at Israeli soldiers who returned fire and killed him in Nablus on Aug. 9, 2022. Al-Nabulsi was a member of a Fatah terror cell that was attacked while planning an imminent attack on Feb. 8, 2022; while Al-Nabulsi escaped, three other members of the cell were shot and killed: Adham Mabrouka Al-Shishani, Muhammad Al-Dakhil, and Ashraf Mubaslat.

Abd Al-Fattah Kharousha – Palestinian terrorist and Hamas member who shot and murdered Israeli brothers Yagel and Hallel Yaniv, aged 19 and 21 respectively, while they were driving on a main road through Hawara, near Nablus in the West Bank, on Feb. 26, 2023. The terrorist fled the scene, and when Israeli forces located him in Jenin on March 7, 2023, he resisted arrest, initiating an exchange of fire in which he was shot and killed. In the exchange of fire, which included terrorists shooting from within an ambulance, 3 Israeli soldiers were wounded, while an additional 6 terrorists were killed.

Daoud Zubeidi – Palestinian terrorist and member of the PA Security Forces who shot at Israeli soldiers in Jenin on May 13, 2022. Israeli Police officer Noam Raz was murdered in the attack. Zubeidi was wounded in the exchange of fire and died of his wounds two days later.
