PA commemorates terror leader’s death: glorifying violence and “Martyrdom”

Headline: “22 years since the death as a Martyr of fighter Abu Ali Mustafa”

“Yesterday, Aug. 27, [2023,] was the 22nd anniversary of the death as a Martyr of Secretary-General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) Abu Ali Mustafa (see note below -Ed.). Before his death as a Martyr, Abu Ali Mustafa was victim to a number of assassination attempts, the most prominent of which were in Beirut and the Jordan Valley.

When Abu Ali Mustafa returned to the homeland in 1999 after a long journey of exile in Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon, he understood that he was in danger, but that did not prevent him from fulfilling an important role during the Al-Aqsa Intifada (i.e., PA terror campaign 2000-2005, more than 1,100 Israelis murdered), and he was known for his national positions.”
