Israeli Arab MPs: Israeli operation in Gaza is motivated by upcoming elections, at the expense of Palestinian lives

“The head of the [Israeli] Arab Democratic Party and the head of the United Arab List faction in the Israeli Parliament (Knesset) Taleb A-Sanaa and Massud Ganaim who is a member of the same faction condemned the barbaric attack on Gaza that is being carried out by Israel. Al-Sanaa added that [Israeli Prime Minister] Netanyahu, [Foreign Minister] Liberman, and [Defense Minister] Barak are interested in winning votes (in the upcoming Israeli elections –Ed.) at the expense of Palestinian blood and in breaking down the resolve and resistance of our people in Gaza. Ganaim condemned the aggression as well, and said: ‘This is part of a series of barbaric attacks by Israeli governments before elections, [driven by] a lust for votes and for support at the expense the blood of old people, women, and children. The Palestinian in Gaza is a preferred and in-demand target of [Israeli] elections in the blood-filled Israeli political stock market.”
Note: In response to Hamas' ongoing rocket fire against Israel, on Nov. 14, 2012, Israel launched Operation Pillar of Defense, aimed at crippling the terrorist infrastructure in Gaza.
