PA Mufti: “The blessed land needs our sacrifice, even if it be our lives”

Palestinian Authority Mufti Muhammad Hussein gave a Friday sermon. In the congregation were numerous Palestinian Authority dignitaries, including Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah; Advisor to Chairman Mahmoud Abbas on NGOs and Fatah Central Committee Member Sultan Abu Al-Einein; Minister of the Interior Said Abu-Ali; and Member of Parliament and Secretary-General of the National Initiative Movement former Minister of Information Mustafa Barghouti.
PA Mufti Muhammad Hussein: “We always seek justice, call for peace and call to hold on to this land. We will not abandon it. Seeking peace or working for peace will never contradict a person’s adherence to his right and his adherence to his cause, and we must all act accordingly, until Allah makes His ruling (i.e., until Judgment Day). And Allah is omnipotent. It is stated in a Hadith that the honorable Prophet, Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him, said: ‘A group [of people] from among my nation will adhere to their religion and defeat their enemies, they will not be harmed by those who oppose them, until Allah makes His ruling.
We said: ‘Oh Messenger of Allah, where are they?’
He answered: ‘They are in Jerusalem and its surroundings.’”
