The PA comes next with 36%, Abbas with 39%, the reconciliation government with 43%, and the PLO with 44%. On top comes Khaled Mashaal with 78% approval and Hamas with 88% approval.”
“Optimism about the success of reconciliation and the end of the split [between Fatah and Hamas] rises to 69%.”
“If new legislative elections were held today with the participation of all factions… 46% say they would vote for Hamas and 31% say they would vote for Fatah, 7% would vote for all other third parties combined, and 17% are undecided. Two months ago, vote for Hamas stood at 32% and for Fatah at 40%.”

Note: This poll was conducted on August 26-30 in the aftermath of the 2014 Gaza war, during which Hamas fired thousands of rockets at Israel and Israel responded with Operation Protective Edge, which aimed at destroying Hamas' terror infrastructure and ability to launch rockets at Israel.
