Official PA daily: "NATO created, financed, and armed IS"

Op-ed by Hafez Al-Barghouti, former editor and regular columnist for Al-Hayat Al-Jadida:
"NATO leaders have formed an alliance against IS and denounced its actions. The leaders of 'NATIS' are the engineers of IS and its ilk - the 'Afghan Arabs' who preceded them, and the lovers of chaos and those who tarnish religion with tales and lies, who will succeed them.
At first, there were the 'Afghan Arabs,' who were recruited by [various] regimes, the Muslim Brotherhood and US intelligence to fight the Soviets in Afghanistan, and thereby prevent the Arab youth from joining the Palestinian revolution and the national movement in Lebanon or from fighting Israel. At their head stood Abdullah Azzam and Osama Bin Laden - the former was killed when he worked with the Americans and the latter was killed by the Americans when he turned against them. When the 'Afghan Arabs' returned to their countries, they provoked riots... and used them again in the Bosnian war. When the war there ended, they were expelled, and some of them were sent to the Caucasus - to serve the West, nothing more.
In Syria and Libya, NATO gathered all the unemployed, mentally ill, those with religious and sexual perversions and those who love adventure and 'Jihad marriages.' It financed and armed them, then threw them into Syria and Libya via Turkey, and they helped the European Muslims and others like them join the ranks of the opposition. When they failed to overthrow the Syrian regime and take control of Libya, they turned to Iraq, on Turkey's directives, or to Libya, to participate in the massacres or infiltrate Egypt to carry out massacres [there].
The discussion at the NATO summit on the danger posed by IS - after [NATO] brought this disaster on itself - might seem contemptible to us, since NATO is the one who created, financed and armed IS, and if the latter mutinies against it, it will be lying in the bed it had made."
