PA daily: Israel planned Arafat’s “assassination”

“Even as our people were commemorating the tenth anniversary of the death of eternal leader Yasser Arafat with large popular rallies, Israeli personalities and institutions embarked on an unprecedented attack against [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas. This attack is to a large extent similar to the one experienced by the late President Yasser Arafat, who died in circumstances that are still obscure, despite the [Palestinian] public’s understanding that it was Israel that stood behind the planning of their leader’s quiet assassination.”
