Abbas’ advisor: "Peace is inconceivable" and "we must prepare ourselves for opening the options of resistance"
The following text was posted by PA Chairman Abbas’ advisor and Fatah Central Committee member Sultan Abu Al-Einein on his official Facebook page. Al-Einein’s comments followed a statement made by Israeli MP Avigdor Liberman at an elections conference at the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya in March 2015 during the Israeli election campaign, about Israeli Arab MPs who are disloyal to the State of Israel. Liberman said: "Those who are against us, there's nothing to be done – we need to pick up an ax and cut off his head," Liberman said. "Otherwise we won't survive here." [Ha’aretz, March 9, 2015]. Al-Einein’s comments were reprinted in the official PA daily, but with slight changes that seem to make the content less severe. The differences are indicated below.

“[Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor] Liberman proves that all the terrorist Zionists are like [the] Islamic State. Even if their language and conduct is different, or even if the knife has been replaced by an ax, their form of action is one [and the same]: terror…
A call of the kind voiced by Liberman requires us to modify our statements… and to spread the culture of resistance in all its shapes, forms and manifestations, and even to reduce our daily loaf of bread in order to save for something stronger than Liberman’s axes, [and use it] to kill his ilk, who are all [like] Liberman. (In the official PA daily the word “kill” had been changed to “tackle” –Ed.)
For these calls pave the way to a dark phase [in our struggle] against this enemy – a phase in which there is no place for words, but [only] for actions after actions after actions.
I say to all our Palestinian people that peace is inconceivable, and that it is now impossible to go back to any [form of] negotiations with such people. We must prepare ourselves for opening the options of resistance, in order to cut [out] the tongues of all of the Israeli enemy’s Libermans and to purify our land of their terror…
We do not hear any human rights organization or international institution pronouncing a single word in condemnation of Liberman’s statements… in view of this silence, these bodies have no right to use their known means of pressure against our people and its leadership, in order to prevent us from acting as we see fit, to extract our rights and establish our independent state, with our eternal capital Jerusalem at its heart, and in order to free our national soil, whatever the price. The soil of the country that ejects the Israeli enemy from its midst; a land that will refuse to hold them in its bosom as dead [bodies], and they must understand that there is no place for them on our land alive, and there will be no place for them inside it as dead [bodies].”
