Fatah cartoon portrays Britain and Israel stabbing map of “Palestine” with Balfour Declaration

Posted text in English, all errors are in source: “Unlimited fascism, [British Prime Minister] Theresa May said last Wednesday:‘ we are proud we played a major roll in the creation of “Israel”, we will celebrate the centenary of Balfour declaration with “pride”’...Which also means she is very proud about the most inhuman terrorist crime the British Regime made against Palestinians, by inviting and creating a Zionist illegal state on our land against our well, they have given a land they don't own to people who do not deserve, since then our suffering has not stop, she is even not welling to apologize about this Historic crime and not welling to recognize a Palestinian state #Declaration100 #Balfour100 (the Balfour hashtag also appears in Arabic –Ed.)” The cartoon shows an elderly Palestinian woman with a Palestinian flag on her shirt speaking to British Prime Minister Theresa May. In the elderly woman’s speech bubble two hands are seen – one with the UK flag and the other the Israeli flag on their sleeves – stabbing a knife into the PA map of “Palestine” that presents all of Israel as “Palestine” together with the PA areas. The map is labeled “Palestine.” The handle of the knife consists of a document, on which “Balfour 1917” is written. British Prime Minister Theresa May’s actual statement before the British House of Commons on Oct. 25, 2017, was: “We are proud of the role that we played in the creation of the State of Israel, and we will certainly mark the centenary with pride.” The Balfour Declaration of Nov. 2, 1917 was a letter from British Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour to Baron Rothschild stating that “His Majesty's government views with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people.” In 1922, the League of Nations adopted this and made the British Mandate “responsible for putting into effect the declaration,” which led to the UN vote in 1947 and the establishment of the State of Israel.
