The cartoon shows Secretary of the PLO Executive Committee, Fatah Central Committee member, and PLO Chief Negotiator Saeb Erekat, with 2 lungs depicted as the PA map of “Palestine” that presents all of Israel as “Palestine” together with the PA areas, both overlaid with the Palestinian flag. The cartoon apparently refers to Erekat's pulmonary fibrosis and the recent severe deterioration in his health.
