Headline: “Four hundred and ninety-one prisoners sentenced to life sentences in the occupation’s prisons”

“The number of prisoners detained by the occupation and sentenced to life sentences rose to 491 after the occupation courts published verdicts of life sentence against prisoners Bilal Abu Ghanem (terrorist who murdered 3 with an accomplice -Ed.) from Jerusalem and Ragheb Aliwi (led group that murdered 2 parents in front of their children -Ed.) from Nablus. Life imprisonment is a sentence of imprisonment for life, which according to the occupation’s definition is 99 years. The occupation imposes it on security prisoners accused of killing Israelis, whether they were settlers or soldiers, and on those responsible for orchestrating Martyrdom-seeking operations that led to the killing of Jews.”

Jerusalem line 78 bus terror attack - On Oct. 13, 2015, two Palestinian terrorists, Baha Alyan (22) and Bilal Ghanem (23) boarded a bus in Jerusalem's Armon Hanatziv neighborhood with a gun and a knife and attacked passengers, killing Israelis Chaim Haviv (78) and Alon Govberg (51), and Richard Lakin (76), and wounding 3 Israelis. Alyan was shot and killed by an Israeli security guard at the scene and Ghanem, a Hamas terrorist who served time in Israeli prison in 2013-2014, was wounded. Ghanem is serving 3 life sentences and an additional 60 years.

The Henkin murders - Israelis Naama and Eitam Henkin (also an American citizen) were murdered in a shooting attack on Oct. 1, 2015, on the road between Itamar and Elon Moreh in the West Bank. Their four children, aged 9, 7, 4, and 4 months, were also in the car and witnessed the murders, but were not physically injured.
Five suspects in the murder, members of a Hamas terrorist cell, were arrested by Israel and confessed to the murders. The leader of the group, Ragheb Ahmad Muhammad Aliwi, has served time in an Israeli prison for security related crimes. Aliwi is serving 2 life sentences and an additional 30 years.
