“Fatah’s Shabiba [student] movement issued a statement in which it emphasized that Jerusalem was and will remain the eternal capital of our Arab Palestinian people, and that all the activity of the illegal occupation will not succeed in hiding the truth and changing its Canaanite Arab Islamic and Christian character. Likewise, it emphasized that the fact that the right-wing extremist [Israeli] government tried to falsify the facts a number of days ago through the advertisement of a picture describing East Jerusalem as the capital of Israel (apparently referring to Israeli exhibition at the UN headquarters in New York –Ed.) is part of the Zionist movement’s plot to expel its residents and Judaize it on the way to completing the plot of the Zionist colonialist expansion at the expense of the Palestinian people and land.”
