“[PA] Minister of Jerusalem Affairs and Jerusalem District Governor Adnan Al-Husseini… said today (Tuesday) [March 14, 2017] in an interview with Radio Mawtini: ‘We are continuing to struggle against the occupation and to prevent it from imposing its curriculum at the expense of the Palestinian curriculum.’ He emphasized that the [Arab] residents of Jerusalem are standing firm against the [occupation's] policy, which will not force our students to study the Israeli curriculum. He also emphasized that the strike in the schools in Jerusalem today is a type of warning to the occupation authorities, and its goal is to prevent them from interfering in our curriculum and imposing an Israeli curriculum on our Palestinian schools.
Al-Husseini added: ‘The occupation is continuing to limit the lives of the residents of Jerusalem, in order to empty the city of Palestinian Arabs.’ He emphasized that the residents of Jerusalem are continuing to stand firm and resist, and that they will not leave their homes.”
