PA religious minister calls on “the Arabs and Muslims to act to save Jerusalem and the holy sites”

Headline: “An Israeli minister and settlers invade the Al-Aqsa Mosque”
“Israeli occupation government Minister of Agriculture Uri Ariel invaded the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque yesterday (Tuesday) [Feb. 26, 2019] (sic., Feb. 24, 2019) through the Mughrabi Gate at the head of a group of settlers…
[PA] Minister of Religious Affairs Sheikh Yusuf Ida’is condemned the occupation government minister of agriculture and group of settlers’ invasion of the Al-Aqsa Mosque plazas. He demanded to put an end to this arrogance, which will lead the region to a bad and bitter end.
Ida’is again called on the Arabs and Muslims to act to save Jerusalem and the holy sites. He said: ‘We have warned and are still warning about the real dangers surrounding the Al-Aqsa Mosque. This obligates the Arab and Islamic peoples and the Arab and Islamic governments to place the issue of Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque at the top of their priorities.’
Ida’is praised the resolve of the members of the Palestinian people regarding their holy sites, their cause, and their leadership. He called to remain alert and continue to carry out Ribat (i.e., religious conflict/war over land claimed to be Islamic) at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in order to thwart [the Israelis’] intentions.”

The PA and its leaders consider all of the Temple Mount an integral part of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Therefore they view any presence of Jews on the mount as an "invasion." It should be noted that Jews who visit the Temple Mount only enter some sections of the open areas, and do not enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque or the Dome of the Rock. Israeli police ban Jewish prayer at the Temple Mount because of threats of violence by Palestinians.
