Editorial in PA daily condemning US embassy move to Jerusalem demonizes the US as racist and violent

Excerpt of an editorial of the official PA daily

Headline: “Again the ugly American”
“The US, in its various administrations, has never known a thing about qualities of chivalry or empathy, tolerance and human understanding. For a long time it has abused – and is still abusing – the poor and small peoples! At the time of its violent and bloody coming into being it abused the native peoples of the American continent, who it called ‘Indians,’ and this was with rifles that at the time were the most dangerous lethal weapons, and were not in the possession of the peoples of the continent. What was even more despicable was its abuse of them through criminal knowledge: It stealthily introduced blankets contaminated with the smallpox virus, which at the time was a lethal virus for many tribes among these peoples, and it destroyed millions of them…
Japan was not stronger than the US in World War II, but the violent cowboy culture dropped the nuclear bomb ‘Little Boy’ – and what a name! – on Hiroshima. In the first seconds it destroyed more than 90,000 of the city’s residents, who were not on the battlefront! The US didn’t make do with this, and dropped another nuclear bomb on Nagasaki named ‘Fat Man,’ which killed 80,000 of its residents…
There is not enough space to talk about the violent American military interference in the Korean War at the start of the 1950s, interference that caused American novelist William Lederer to write the famous novel The Ugly American…
The reality is that it would be hard for us to tell all the stories of ‘the ugly American,’ which are full of blood, systematic violence, and a violence of abuse and bullying towards small peoples. This is currently being expressed in a most ugly fashion by its abuse of our people… It is going wild in its aggression towards [our people], which is being expressed by the American administration’s responsiveness to all of the Zionist activity’s demands. What is more, this administration – while transferring its embassy from Tel Aviv to occupied Jerusalem in contradiction to all the decisions of the international institutions, after it declared it the capital of the occupation state (!!) [parentheses in source] – has turned into a completely Zionist administration.”
