Abbas’ advisor: Western Wall is part of “an Islamic Waqf - a property of the Muslims… an Islamic right… This property belongs to me and all Muslims”

Official PA TV program In The Midst hosted Supreme Shari’ah Judge and Mahmoud Abbas’ Advisor on Religious and Islamic Affairs, Mahmoud Al-Habbash

Supreme Shari’ah Judge and Mahmoud Abbas’ Advisor on Religious and Islamic Affairs, Mahmoud Al-Habbash: "The use Americans or others make of the term 'Temple Mount' rather than the 'Al-Aqsa Mosque [plaza]' is unacceptable and should be condemned... The Al-Aqsa Mosque, which includes its plaza, all the gates, all the walls, all the facilities with and without a roof, and all the walls, including the Al-Buraq Wall (i.e., the Western Wall) which is an Islamic wall, an Islamic Waqf - a property of the Muslims - no one can deprive them of this ownership... The Al-Aqsa Mosque according to this description - its whole area is 144 dunam, 100 square meters, including its internal and external walls and the gates – is all an Islamic Waqf and an absolute Islamic right. No one except the Palestinians and Muslims is entitled to even a millimeter of it, not even a single grain of sand... The visit to the Al-Buraq Wall (i.e., the Western Wall) is a right every Muslim is entitled to. Not only the inside of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Al-Buraq Wall (i.e., the Western Wall) is [also] an Islamic right… This property belongs to me and all Muslims."
