PMW director to German TV - The PA message: killing Israelis is heroic

Excerpt from German TV Channel 1 report on PA salaries to terrorists, featuring interview with PMW director Itamar Marcus: German TV host: "Since October [2015], a wave of violence has shaken Israel and the Palestinian territories. More than 30 Israelis have been killed, often by stabbings... And the Palestinians? As our research has revealed they [the PA] generously support relatives of suicide bombers and imprisoned terrorists with millions..." Reporter: "Itamar Marcus is director of a right-wing Israeli NGO [Palestinian Media Watch] that has documented the flow of money to the prisoners. He accuses the PA of encouraging the terror." Itamar Marcus, PMW director: "The message of the money is: You are a Palestinian hero! When they come out of prison after 5, 10 or 15 years, they drive around in fancy cars and build beautiful, big houses. And how did they accomplish that? They killed, stabbed, and shot an Israeli." Reporter: "Volker Beck, Chairman of the German- Israeli Parliamentary Friendship Group in the Bundestag (i.e., German Parliament) thinks... the federal government must now exert pressure on the Palestinians." Volker Beck, MP of the Alliance '90/The Greens Party: "Supporting people who have committed terrorist acts against Israel or Israeli citizens cannot be funded under any circumstances by the PA, when we [Germany] support them financially."
