Israel is a colonialist implant
Israel is a colonialist implant
The PA created an odious alternative history to denigrate the rebirth of the State of Israel and deny Israel’s right to exist. Since Jews, they say, never had a history in the Land of Israel and therefore never would have started the Zionist movement on their own, an imaginative story had to be created to explain Jewish renaissance in Israel. Accordingly, they teach that Jews were so evil in every country they inhabited for thousands of years that the nations of the world were forced to persecute and often expel them – as acts of self-defense. According to the PA libel, the repeated persecutions and expulsions of Jews are proof that the world agrees about the evil nature of Jews. Britain and Europe were suffering last century from their Jews in their countries, and therefore created Zionism in order to be rid of their Jewish “burden.” The Land of Israel was chosen by the Europeans, in this scenario, as the place to send the Jews in order to control and steal the “natural resources” of the Middle East. This is what the PA is referring to in its schoolbooks and official media when they refer to Israel as an imperialist colonial implant.

This article is an early expression of this ideology in the official PA daily in 1998:
“The difference between Hitler and [British Foreign Minister] Balfour was simple: the former [Hitler] did not have colonies to send the Jews so he destroyed them, whereas Balfour… [turned] Palestine into his colony and sent the Jews. Balfour is Hitler with colonies, while Hitler is Balfour without colonies. They both wanted to get rid of the Jews… Zionism was crucial to the defense of the West’s interests in the region, [by] ridding Europe of the burden of its Jews.”
[Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Dec. 6, 1998]

This video is a recent expression of this PA ideology, on PA TV:
“Europe, led by Britain, founded Israel... We, as Arabs, as negotiators, as Palestinians when we meet with Europeans [should say]: 'You created and implanted a thieving entity upon Palestinian land...' As they implanted [Jews here] they got rid of [Jews there] and I do not wish to elaborate on this. The Jews in the time of Herzl caused European societies to lose sleep. They wanted to be rid of them, and implanted them in Palestine."

Headline: “The government inaugurates 20 projects worth over 7 million dollars in order to strengthen the resolve of Hebron residents”
“During its weekly meeting, held yesterday [Nov. 3, 2015] in Hebron, the [PA] government called for the UN Security Council and General Assembly to obligate Israel to remove the outposts in the Old City [of Jerusalem], to open the Al-Shuhada Road in Hebron, and to allow Palestinian security forces to spread out in the region in order to provide the civilians with protection from the settlers’ attacks and crimes… The government emphasized that the resolve of our people in Hebron and the great sacrifices the district’s residents have made… have caused the Israeli government to launch a revenge attack, which has caused the death of 29 Martyrs from the district during the popular uprising, who saturated the Palestinian ground with their pure blood… The government listened to a report by Hebron district Governor Kamel Hami about the settler attack against the district and the violations being perpetrated by the occupation forces and gangs of settlers. He expressed appreciation of the fact that the president [Abbas] and prime minister [Hamdallah] are making sure they receive all of the Martyrs’ bodies [from Israel] and bring them to burial with state funerals befitting them and their sacrifices… The government emphasized that even though 98 years have passed since the ominous Balfour Declaration, our people is still paying a heavy price with its land, its children’s blood, and its daily suffering, and the international community still stands by helplessly in the face of the historic injustice which has caused many massacres and crimes carried out by the Zionist terror gangs, which has led to our people being uprooted from their homeland.”

Headline: "On the anniversary of the Balfour Promise: Erekat call on Britain and the world to end the occupation"
“Secretary-General of the PLO Executive Committee [Saeb Erekat] called on the countries of the world that have not yet recognized Palestine, and first among them Britain, to recognize a Palestine with sovereignty on the 1967 borders with its capital in Jerusalem, and to end its Israeli military occupation…
These things were stated in Erekat's press release on the 98th anniversary of the ominous Balfour Promise (i.e., Declaration), in which he renewed his call for Britain to take legal, political, and ethical responsibility for acquiescing to the Zionist movement's request to establish a national homeland for Jews on Palestine's land, and the fact that it paved the way for, and fully supported, one of the largest ever acts of ethnic cleansing in 1948 and the expulsion of our people by force. Likewise, he called on it [Britain] to act seriously and responsibly together with the international community to correct the mistake, as our people is still paying the price of the consequences a century later…"

Fatah: Balfour Declaration was an “ominous promise,” Jews had “no right” to create state

The Balfour Declaration of Nov. 2, 1917 was a letter from British Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour to Baron Rothschild stating that “His Majesty's government views with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people” and is seen as the basis for later international commitments to establish the State of Israel.
Israel’s establishment is a result of ‎‎“British-French-German-American ‎colonial West”‎
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Oct. 22, 2015
Op-ed by Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul, columnist ‎for the official PA daily:
‎“[Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] ‎Netanyahu delivered a speech yesterday ‎‎[Oct. 20, 2015], Tuesday, to the Zionist ‎Congress, which was full of all colors of ‎forgery, deception, and incitement ‎against the Palestinian people and ‎President Mahmoud Abbas… and which ‎acquitted Adolf Hitler, the German ‎leader, of the blood of millions of Jews, ‎and ‘placed the responsibility for it’ on ‎‎[Grand Mufti] Haj Amin Al-Husseini, who ‎‎‘incited’ Hitler to carry out the ‎Holocaust, according to Netanyahu’s ‎neo-fascist logic…‎
Everyone knows that the Palestinian ‎people and its historic leaders, from ‎‎[Grand Mufti] Haj Amin Al-Husseini and ‎those who preceded him and followed ‎him, all of them were victims of that ‎Holocaust, whose results are the ‎responsibility of the British-French-‎German-American colonial West. This is ‎because they paved the way through the ‎ominous British Balfour Promise (i.e., ‎Declaration), and afterward through the ‎campaigns of Jewish immigration to ‎historic Palestine. They gave them (Zionist ‎Jews) (parentheses in source) all the ‎political, legal, financial, and military ‎reliefs to establish the Israeli state on the ‎ruins of the Nakba (“the catastrophe,” the ‎Palestinian term for the establishment of ‎the State of Israel) of the Palestinian ‎people in May 1948... The ‎near future undoubtedly holds a strong ‎blow against the occupying fascist ‎Zionist leader [Netanyahu], as a friend ‎of Hitler and his ilk.”‎
Europe collaborated with "the Zionist colonialist entity" with the aim of stealing from the Arabs and fragmenting them
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Sept. 22, 2015
Op-ed by Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul, columnist for official PA daily
Headline: “The two causes contradict each other”
“What researchers trying to compare the two causes could not identify was that the Palestinian issue was a tangible issue, on the ground and in history, with real presence in reality. Likewise, its cause is essentially different from the Jewish issue, which was actually a phantom from the European point of view and was created by them [the Europeans].
In addition, all European leaders sought to create a cheap, low-cost mechanism that would ensure the fragmentation of the Arab region in order to steal the resources of the peoples of the Arab nation. Therefore, they used the Zionist colonialist entity and collaborated with it, in accordance with developments in the international capitalist camp, and in a manner that would serve the interests of Europe and the US… Were it not for Europe’s [support] since Napoleon’s call in 1978, King Wilhelm II (i.e., last German Emperor and King of Prussia, ruled from 1888 to 1918. –Ed.) in the second half of the 19th century, Britain’s adoption of the Zionist movement since the mandate over Palestine and the issuing of the Balfour promise (i.e., Declaration) in November 1917 and the subsequent American patronage and support, after it [the US] became the center of decisions and the leader of the Western camp following World War II, the Hebrew state would not have managed to exist and endure.”

Headline: “The Paradox of penance at the Al-Aqsa Mosque”
Op-ed by Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul, a columnist for the official PA daily, in his regular column
“Yom Kippur is also meant to mark the birthday of Adam, peace be with him, and to be a day of mutual forgiveness and asking pardon for any punishable act carried out by members of the Jewish religion in the last year. However, those who follow the crimes of the leaders of the Israeli ethnic occupation state and its herds of colonialists can see that they take from the Bible what is appropriate for their colonialist plot, based on massacre, burning, murder, and permitting [spilling the blood of] the Arab Palestinian non-Jews, whatever their religion may be, even if they are Samaritan Jews or Neturei Karta (i.e., extremist, anti-Zionist, ultra-Orthodox Jews who deny Israel's right to exist until the Messiah comes).”
Israel is “the pillar of the colonial West”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Aug. 25, 2015
Headline: “Iraq stands resolute against America”
“Despite the successes of the American-Israeli alliance in ‘sister’ Iraq – such as the formulation of a constitution based on [the concept of] federacy, the establishment of a government with a sectarian nature, the spreading of anarchy on religious, sectarian, and ethnic grounds and [grounds of] faith, through the establishment of ISIS and Shiite militias, the promotion of the independence of the Kurdistan region in Iraq from the central government, the theft of the resources and glorious culture of Iraq and the destruction of its economy – the Iraqi people, with all its elements and diversity, still adheres to its original identity, the Pan-Arab identity, which protects the other ethnic groups…
However, the enemies of Iraq, and especially the US, refuse to accept the choice of the Iraqi people. Since Henry Kissinger declared the dissolution of the states and peoples of the Arab nation in the mid-1970s, when the spark of the Lebanese civil war was ignited in 1975, the American administrations throughout history and the military and security decision-making centers and the legislative and executive institutions are acting – in coordination with the Israeli ethnic cleansing state and other countries in the region – to rip apart the fabric of the Arab peoples. Each one has its personal goals, in addition to the shared one…"

PA daily op-ed: Israel founded on colonialism, established to be a “base” for the US
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Aug. 24, 2015
Excerpt of article by Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul, columnist for the official PA daily:
“As is known to the whole world, the countries of the capitalist West invented, together with the leaders of the Zionist movement, the idea of ‘the Promised Land,’ and afterward they invented the deceitful Jewish slogan ‘a land without a people for a people without a land,’ in order to achieve the goal of global Zionism. The two ideas – the idea of ‘the Promised Land,’ and the deceitful colonialist idea – were the main deceptive factor, meant to remove the European Jews from their nations and place them in Palestine, in order to establish the Israeli colonialist state as a front base of the capitalist West, and particularly of the US.”
Israel is "fascist," "based on forging of facts and history," "created and planted by... European colonialism"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Aug. 2, 2015
“The state of Israel is fascist through and through. It is hostile to [the concepts of] law, peace and coexistence between the nations, and does not believe in treaties and international laws. This state was and continues to be based on the forging of facts and history, and the theft of another people’s lands. This state, created and planted by the British, French, German, American, and European colonialism in general… will not succeed in defending its ugly colonial face.”
PA daily: French and British colonialism led to the birth of Israel
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, July 6, 2015
"Israel spreads the danger posed by ISIS on one hand, and the Iranian danger on the other hand, in order to sneak into the bedrooms of the Arab regimes, as if it has no aspirations [to rule] from the Nile to the Euphrates. This Arab entrapment by Israel reminds us of the correspondence of the Fatimids in Egypt with the Crusaders in order to unite against Nur Al-Din Zangi (the Selijuq ruler who united the Syrian principalities and northern Iraq into one large Muslim country –Ed.), and the engagements of the Pope with the Assassin movement later [in history] in order to confront Saladin, in addition to many rulers of his time betraying their homelands, [thus] facilitating the Mongol invasion… We can [only] say that the results of the Mongolian invasion and the Crusades, which nobody stood against except for the Egyptian army, paved the way for the Safavid state in Iran and Iraq, the spread of the Turks in the Western world, and the continuation of French and British colonialism, which led to the birth of Israel.”

Official PA daily: "Zionist colonialists" are "forgers of history"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, June 10, 2015
Headline: “Two states – one homeland!”
Op-ed by Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul, regular columnist for the official PA daily
“Returning to the new initiatives on the negotiation table, the ‘Two States – One Homeland!’ initiative which will be officially announced tomorrow, Thursday [June 11, 2015], in Beit Jala (i.e., near Bethlehem), is the product of an agreement between Israeli and Palestinian figures. However, it should be noted that some of the Palestinians whose names are signed on it announced in advance that they do not recognize it, and that their names were added without asking them, which indicates their disagreement with what is stated in the initiative. This is after Palestinian media platforms and figures debated and pointed out serious flaws that it includes, among them [the statement] that ‘The two peoples recognize the historical rights of each other to the one homeland.’ Moreover, this initiative did not stop here. In addition to the deep confusion between the Palestinian and Zionist narrative, which equates the Palestinian owners of the land and history with the Zionist colonialists, forgers of history with the most abominable Zionist slogan, ’A land without people for a people without a land,’ the initiative also rejected the right of return of Palestinians to their land and homes from which they were expelled, and limited their return to the State of Palestine only (i.e., and not to Israel).”
Balfour Declaration was “racist, hateful, and atrocious” and a right that Jews did not deserve
Source: Fatah-run Awdah TV, May 14, 2015
Fatah-run Awdah TV broadcast the documentary A Homeland in the Memory of Generations about the Palestinian struggle from the Balfour Declaration until war in Gaza, and the strong connection between Morocco and Jerusalem. The film was produced by Palestine International Institute and Dr. Elias Al-Amari from Morocco, and not by Awdah TV. PA Parliament (Legislative Council) member from Fatah Ashraf Jum’ais is mentioned in the credits at the end as the film’s supervisor.
Film narrator: “This is the longest and greatest tragedy in history, and the most racist, hateful, and atrocious scene was when Britain granted the Jews a national homeland in Palestine in the ominous Balfour Promise (i.e., Declaration).”
PA Parliament member from Fatah Ashraf Jum’a: “The occupation of Palestine by Britain was a preparatory step toward the establishment of a national home for Jews in Palestine. Britain issued the ominous Balfour Promise in 1917, and with this decision a right was given to an entity not deserving it – the Zionist entity - by one not its [the land’s] owner – Britain.”

The Balfour Declaration of Nov. 2, 1917 was a letter from British Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour to Baron Rothschild stating that “His Majesty's government views with favor the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people” and is seen as the basis for later international commitments to establish the State of Israel.
Fatah member in PA daily: Zionist project is "a colonialist, economic, and settlement project"
Source: Al-Asima, bi-weekly distributed with official PA daily, May 6, 2015
Headline: “Returning the awareness and understanding of the situation in order to break the cage”
Op-ed by Muhammad Shtayyeh, member of the Fatah Central Committee, in the biweekly supplement of the official PA daily
“Recently [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu came to us with the Jewish state that he wants to build in ‘Judea and Samaria’ (i.e., the West Bank), after the Zionist movement completed its colonialist economic project in the Palestinian coastal region (i.e., Israeli coast), which is the most fertile region in Palestine.
And the question is: If the state is ‘Jewish’ and relies on the geography of the Bible, why was the State of Israel not established from its beginning in ‘Judea and Samaria,’ in other words the West Bank, and the coastal region not left for the Palestinians? The answer is that the Zionist project was not a religious project at all, but rather a colonialist, economic, and settlement project meant to draw settlers, and religion was only one of the excuses for this project, which merited the sponsorship of the colonialist countries, and began as a source of mutual benefit for Britain and the Zionist movement, each for its own reasons.”
Nazis and colonialists "conspired" to make [European] Jews immigrate to Israel... to serve colonialist ambitions... in the Arab world"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Apr. 18, 2015
Op-ed by Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul, columnist for official PA daily:
"Even though the Jewish people were never one nation, the Jews of the different European nationalities paid a heavy price in the Second World War, since Nazis committed a holocaust in the Polish [city of] Krakow and in other cities in Europe. Estimates regarding the number of Holocaust victims differ. The supporters of the Zionist movement have exaggerated the number of victims, claiming that it amounts to 6 million, whereas others, unbiased researchers, have estimated that there were between one and two million Jewish victims.
In addition, the leaders of the Nazi and Fascist states conspired to make the Jews immigrate to Israel, the establishment of which was supported by more than one leader and one European state, to serve the colonialist ambitions of these states in the Arab world.
Likewise, the Zionist movement wanted to achieve a series of goals: First, to take advantage and use this [the Holocaust] to blackmail the European states financially and politically to make them support the Zionist colonialist project. Second, to bully the Jews to immigrate to the Israeli ethnic cleansing state, which was in a preparatory stages of establishment. Third, to increase the Jews' suffering and abuse in order to take advantage of the world's compassion for them..."

Awdah TV: Jews were corrupt so Europe wanted to get rid of them with Balfour Declaration
Source: Fatah-run Awdah TV, Feb. 18, 2015

"Faced with the Jews' schemes Europe could not bear their character traits, monopolies, corruption, and their control and climbing up position in government. In 1290, King Edward I issued a decree banishing the Jews [from England]. Following him were France, Germany, Austria, Holland, Czechoslovakia, Spain and Italy. The European nations felt that they had suffered a tragedy by providing refuge for the Jews. Later the Jews obtained the Balfour Declaration, and Europe saw it as an ideal solution to get rid of them."

PA daily op-ed: Israel was established “for colonialist reasons”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 6, 2015
Op-ed by Hafez Al-Barghouti, regular columnist for Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, in response to an op-ed by Dr. Guy Bechor in the Israeli daily Yediot Aharonot, in which Bechor wrote that the Arab world’s power will decline with the drop in oil prices, and that other countries, such as the US and Israel, will take their place as the world’s main energy exporters.
“The Israeli publicist’s [Guy Bechor’s] statements may be correct in certain respects, but he forgets that the [natural] gas Israel claims to have found in the sea is not its exclusive property, for the Syrian, Lebanese, Cypriot, Palestinian and Egyptian gas fields are bigger, and the part belonging to Israel is not so huge. In addition, in the event of a fall in oil prices and the finding of new gas and oil sources outside the Arab world, Israel will lose its strategic importance for the US and the West. This is because Israel is an entity established by colonialism in the vicinity of the Suez Canal for colonialist reasons – in order to maintain [their] presence near the Canal, which was at the time the [main] marine transportation artery, and the West continued to protect Israel after oil was discovered. Once oil loses its strategic importance, Israel will also lose its importance, for its main role is to spread instability in the Arab region and prevent geographic continuity between the eastern and western Arab countries, in order to preclude any form of Arab unity and development and modernization in the Arab countries. In addition, Israel’s role will come to an end once oil loses its importance and becomes plentifully available on the markets – for Israel’s role is only to destroy.”
PLO Ambassador to India: Zionism is an "imperialistic initiative" that uses American aid to create a "Jewish ISISness"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Dec. 24, 2014
Headline: “Between the grinding stones”
Op-ed by Adli Sadeq, PLO Ambassador to India and regular columnist for the official PA daily
“When the occupiers began their attack against Palestine they were not religious Jews. They were seculars who used religion in order to encourage the Jewish citizens of undeveloped countries to immigrate to Palestine. It was a clear imperialistic initiative that wore a religious appearance. This initiative, in today’s reality of law-breaking Israel, began to scorn imperialism itself, and the seculars as well, and placed ’Judaism’ in the place of the alleged ‘democracy.’ And just as all of them had, at every stage, traitors who aided them, thus the American aid given to them was more than enough to take over both sides of the conflict…
Along this line, at the same time as the Arab humiliation, the appetite of broad groups of Arab society for faith in greater extremism was whetted, but not in order to confront their Jewish antithesis in Palestine, but rather in order to storm the antithesis of their ideology in every land, even if this antithesis was Islamic. Regarding Palestine, the Jewish ISISness cast its heavy shadow on Palestinian society, which does not have the means and possibility of creating its own ISIS.”
PA daily refers to Israelis as “colonialist Zionist herds”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Dec. 11, 2014
“The murder of Martyr (Shahid) Ziad Abu Ein by the army of death and the colonialist Zionist herds came as a huge shock to the [Palestinian] political leadership and people, for [through it] the murderous Israelis have confirmed that they do not distinguish between ministers, senior officials or ordinary citizens, nor between members of one faction or another, or even those without any [factional] affiliation, because the Zionist Israeli target is the Arabic-speaking Arab Palestinian.”

Note: Ziad Abu Ein died on Dec. 10, 2014 at ‎a demonstration in the West Bank that ‎turned violent. Immediately following his ‎death, PA and Fatah leaders claimed that ‎Abu Ein was murdered. Footage from the ‎event shows Abu Ein in an altercation with ‎an Israeli soldier who grabbed Abu Ein by ‎the neck, and later shows Abu Ein on the ground clutching his chest in pain. The ‎autopsy, which was overseen by Israeli and ‎Palestinian pathologists, revealed that the ‎cause of death was a heart attack, but ‎disagreement remains over the extent to which the altercation with Israeli forces may have caused ‎the heart attack. Palestinians have ‎continued to describe Abu Ein's death as a ‎‎"murder" and "assassination" by Israel.‎
The Israeli narrative is shaped by “imperialism” and “the Zionist mentality of darkness, extremism and racism”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Nov. 24, 2014
Op-ed by Fatah Revolutionary Council member Bakr Abu Bakr, regular columnist for official PA daily
“If we as Palestinians, Arab and Muslims, do not disown the historic myths [prevalent] among us that is, the false Biblical stories about Jerusalem – what they call the ‘People of Israel,’ the house of worship or the Temple, and about their [past] presence on our Arab land in Palestine – then what can we expect the result to be? The myths about the redeeming prophet (and there is no prophet after Muhammad, peace be upon Him) [all parenthesis in source] will naturally prevail, as will the myths that the Israelis (the Jews living in the State of ‘Israel’ today, whose origins can be traced to the Khazars, Russians, Ukrainians and Europeans, and who borrowed their name from an extinct Yemenite tribe) have a ‘country’ and that they were a ‘nation,’ and that the Temple – which actually never existed anywhere in the area – was situated at the site of Al-Aqsa, surrounding it or at a distance of 20 to 200 kilometers from it.
The political, diplomatic, legal, or even the military struggle or the [struggle] on the ground, are not sufficient to refute the narrative that has been perfectly constructed since the 19th century by imperialism and its ambitions, in cooperation with the Zionist mentality of darkness, extremism and racism… and we are the first to have been convinced by them, while we merely argue over tiny details! For example: ‘Yes, they have been here (in Palestine) – but not for long’ or ‘Yes, they had princedoms or kingdoms, but not like these!’ And the evident truth now is that they were never here, and that even those who are here now, who are different, and the ancient ones, whose stories are documented in books, were never [present] in this Arab and Islamic land.”
